Hasbro Gaming Battleship Game Retro Series 1967 Edition

My husband and I are really enjoying this game. I had never played this game before but, my husband had when he was a boy and he loved it. The pegs were too thick to fit easily into the holes which took the fun out of the game. So, I painstakingly used a large emery board and filed each peg until they fit easily into the holes. This was slow and painful as I have arthritis. When we finally got it done the game went smoothly and is great fun! We play it often. If they are going to charge this much for the game, they need to make sure the pegs fit easily into the holes. Jay

Battleship! I missed this game from my childhood, ha! Beautifully made and quite simple to use and move around. The only downside is that the pegs are getting stuck on the board, my son could not remove them without my help and I was struggling too..

This game reminds me of when I played battle ship in the 60’s with my friends. The game does seem to be smaller than the original. But still a lot of fun. Can’t beat the price. Very Happy With My Purchase.....!!

A great game, a great set! The numbers were very difficult to read to I went over them with permanent marker and white paint, works nice.

I had originally purchased the electronic version, but we were very disappointed by the lack of ability to input the locations of the ships. Too much work for no great return. Because of the way it was set up, it was too easy for your opponent to "accidentally" look at the locations of your ships. However, the kids seemed to like the game in general so I went ahead and bought the classic version. The game board is actually larger than the electronic version - one extra horizontal and one extra vertical row. Ships fit in well. Fairly easy to read the letters and numbers. Great storage space for the pegs and ships in each game board. Easy to learn game - can play fairly quickly in about 20 minutes - great family game. My one only complaint is that the pegs don't really fit well into the holes - they kind of just set in there loosely. One bump of your board and the pegs are bound to fall out.

When we were kids, my buddy would come over and we'd play this for hours. We hadn't seen each other for about 30+ years, and when we did reconnect he reminded me of a time that we played and he royally kicked my butt over and over again. Turns out, I was wearing a pair of those Aviator type sunglasses (with the mirror front), and he was reading my ship placement in the reflection. We laughed so hard! So, for Christmas this year I got him this, and of course, a pair of Aviator mirror front sunglasses.

This brings back memories of when our boys were little. They loved playing this, as did my husband and I. I bought this as a prize for a game that we will be playing at Christmas.

Great vintage remake of this game. Gave as a birthday gift for someone born in 1967 and they loved it!

J'ai l'original, incomplet, la tentation d'acheter cette édition, pour en être déçu, une imitation, moins bonne qualité, la finition est nettement moins bien que l'original. Mais la compatibilité avec l'ancienne, qui a permis de compléter l'original et de mettre de coté celle-ci. Dessus vu le prix on s'attend a réellement un produit conforme. Donc ne coté collection est a oublier, autant prendre les autres versions plus économique.

Looks like the ones I played with as a teenager (when we graduated form pencil and paper!) Did draw over the letters and numbers with black permo as they were clear and a little hard to see- but we have already had many happy hours playing with this. The plastic containers are well made and keep everything intact. Enjoyed by 50 plus year olds, 20-30 year olds ,and our granddaughter who has autism loves it! Well worth buying. Thank you

It's Battleships and you get what you expect really. Although I remember the battle boards being bigger when I was a kid. Wagon Wheels were bigger back then too.
