Great stainless meter stick
I've been wanting a decent but not insanely priced stainless steel meter stick for my shop, and this fills the bill nicely. The etched markings are very easy to read, and the ruler has just the right amount of flexibility. I checked it against a Starret metric tape and they were in perfect agreement. I also checked some shorter portions against some dial calipers and looked good there. The only negative is that the edges are a bit on the sharp side. I lightly ran a mill file and course diamond stone over the edges and they feel much better now. This will definitely be a useful tool.

Accurate
I used it on my X-carve to calibrate my x,y, and z axis. Make everything way more accurate.

Very useful in my woodworking hobbyhobby
This 1 meter rule is one of the most used simple tools in my shop. I prefer to use it for measurement because it is SO much simpler than all of the fractions in the archaic inch-based measurement system used in the USA (and practically nowhere else on this planet.)

good yard stick

Cuts
Be careful using it,it is so extremely sharp on the sides. Inches and cm should not be on the same part of the ruler on both sides, hard to use if you want to cut something in certain inches

about what you expect for the price
Not a showpiece of quality. This is the cheapest metal meter stick on Amazon, and the standards are in proportion to that. The markings are about half a mm short on the end (eg. the ruling starts from 0.5 mm, not 0.0). The spacing between marks does agree to within about 0.5 mm over the 1-m span as compared with a steel tape measure- I'm not sure which is more accurate. There are a number of small cosmetic flaws in the markings, although they do not affect usability. Being only about 1.1 mm thick, the whole thing is floppy and came with slight tendency to curve, but it will lie flat on a flat table, and the ruled edges are straight to within my ability to test them.
