If your cat needs Lysine and refuses to eat the gel, or if, like my cat, has suddenly after years of eating the gel mixed with his food and suddenly hates it, this is what you need. My Vet told me there were lysine treats that I could give my cat, but he didn't have any, He told me to just look on the internet. I did. I tried several treats -- 1. these were hard little pebbles. Cat swallowed them whole, then he threw up; 2. next ones were large triangles. H e loved these but that were hard for him to get down, so I had to cut them; 3. He hated them; This is #4 -- JUST RGHT. not too big, not too hard, and he loves the taste. I completely recommend these Lysine treats.

This product was recommend by our vet for cat with eye issues. Cat didn’t like, would avoid even the tiny pieces I’d cut each triangular chunk into, even when mixed into canned cat food. Solution? I got out my spice grinder, ground 5 of the chunks into powder, measured and divided by 5 to figure out how much powder equaled a serving (1/4 tsp actually). I now mix that 1/4 tsp powder into a slurry of canned cat pate thinned a little with a tablespoon broth and it disappears immediately! A twice a day struggle turned into an easy fix, and the powder keeps nicely in a lidded glass jar.

This supplement has been wonderful for the kittens I foster for our local shelter. They often come to us with upper respiratory issues, so it is important to me to give them the best start toward health.

These lysine bites are large and hard…however, I have 7 cats, most older that sneeze all the time and have running eyes. I’ve spent hundreds at the vets office to clear them up for years…every year. I tried this stuff and It took a few days for it to work but the fact is IT DID WORK. So, what I do is grind them into powder with a coffee bean grinder and mix about a half teaspoon in with a wet food that they really like. You can also break them into smaller pieces if your cats like the taste. My cats have cleared up. This lysine has two ingredients and I think the mixture is the key. I only wish I could find the same Vetriscience would make it in a powder form.

Our siamese kitty has terrible allergies. We were using another brand that has 500mg doses but it was only 30 chews in the bag for $17. We were going through them so fast, it's nearly $40 a month, if not more. These ones last longer, and though our cats don't love them as much as the green bag competitor, they will eat them. 120 chews with 2 chews equating 500mg is much better than what we were doing. These will last longer and help their eyes. L-lysine has helped SO well for their allergies. If you haven't tried them, please do.
