Torrent II Baitcasting Reel, 20LB Drag, Magnetic Brake

Just a regular guy who wanted to get a baitcasting set up. I bought a Piscifun rod and got this to go with it. I do freshwater fishing from shore. While my opportunities are few, I wanted to try this. First off, this is left hand retrieve. Therefore it feels like a spinning set up. Why would you want to switch hands to reel in? You wouldn't reverse your spinning reel handle. This just made way more sense. As such its so easy to get used to. I have it set up to where I don't really need to change it for every lure I throw. I don't even need my thumb to oversee the cast. It just made learning to baitcast a more enjoyable experience. I would definitely consider Piscifun when shopping for fishing equip. I feel the quality to price ratio is very good. I was very pleased.

These Pisces fun reals look very nice as good as the very high cost name brand so far I have not had any problems with them they are amazingly affordable for what you get and it's nice to have an affordable piece of fishing equipment to be able to go fishing and be reliable when you catch that big one

I boight a few baitcasters before and tried them out. I bought 2 abu garcia Max 4000 and 5000 , i thought they were the best you could get and i used them but not teally caring for baitcasting reels and rods. THEN ! Ibought this reel. It changed everything . Im in love with baitcasting now because of this reel . It cast smooth and far with no backlashes and birds nest. Great reel . I bought another one and planning on buying two more.

Seem like a good quality reel. Good price point for a bait caster. Easy to cast this one any Birds nests I have had are my fault. It does not hold much 65 lb braided line but that’s not what’s supposed to go on it anyway. It could be bigger

I just came back from a fishing trip to Maine where I put this reel to work. I wasn’t sure how well this plastic reel would hold up. I paired the reel on a 7’ rod with 15 pound line. I tied on a 1/2 oz spinner bait and put to the test. WOW! After a week of small mouth fishing I would have to say that this reel did not disappoint. To throw a number out of how many fish this reel cranked in you wouldn’t believe. Only issue was that the reel does need to be serviced before you use it. This was disappointing but for the price tag it didn’t bother me. Who knew a plastic reel could be this good. Definitely worth the price. Wouldn’t think twice about purchasing another one,

I bought a second one of these reels during the black Friday sale after being impressed by the one I bought in early October. I have a couple of the original Torrents that have performed well for several seasons, but these new ones are lighter and smoother running, and cast further. I'm pretty amazed that they can sell a reel this nice for this price. Hoping they hold up as well as the original Torrents.

This is a good buy at this price point. Unless you are a pro, I don't think you could tell the difference between this and a $200 unit.

Value wise this is a crazy good reel. Casts amazing, drag is accurate and smooth, every dial clicks which I love 2 pike 12lb+ and a nice 3.2lb large mouth on the first outing and this reel had zero issues Drag was fine and bringing em in was smooth Comparable to some 200$ reels I've used if not better
