What a great clock PLUS sound machine! I can't say enough wonderful stuff about it! Although I read reviews saying it's easy to use, I didn't know if that meant by millennials only, rather than older peeps! I'm the parent of millennials and have tried several alarm clocks considered "easy" and "basic" -- and they were NOT so in my opinion. I had every function of this one figured out in just a few minutes! So many awesome features packed into a compact unit that would be great for travel (it's only 4" wide) as well as saving space on a nightstand (or anywhere). It's sharp looking and discreet! The dimmer can be turned down to the point that the display completely disappears. (It is a dial on the back of the clock -- not on the bottom/underside). I do not need the nightlight feature, but the wide-ranging color choices are great for people who do want this. It's got a strong backup battery (included) and a traditional power cord, which is rare these days. There are numerous sound options, and you can choose the sound and volume for everything. The volume and type of alarm you set are independent of the volume and sound you choose for listening pleasure and/or nodding off. I also consider this to be an excellent value for the $$ spent. I chose the gray, and it happened to be on sale as well. I got this mainly for travel but will consider buying another for home use. I tested the alarm right away, and it works great! Every feature seems to work properly. I love this little unit so much that I immediately ordered the protective case as well, which also will be perfect for travel. If you're thinking about making this purchase, I'm confident that you won't be disappointed!

Ok so I have been really picky about the nature sounds like thunder and rain and birds and well the ocean is just hard to catch on a recording - ah yes, streams! Like if it is too strident or unrealistic (I grew up outside on the farm) - in other words for years I have been looking for a reasonably-priced sound machine that was like being outside. THIS one is it. My SO actually bought one and when he started playing the sounds I was so excited. Not one of them (minus the fan and the vacuum and the bells and other technical sounds) grated on my nerves. The wind was nice as was the ocean but it was the thunderstorm, the rain the STREAM and the birds ... tit is only missing the sound of a cat purring. I wonder why no one thinks of that one. But anyways, the sounds are fabulous. It is a perk that OMG I can literally reduce the light to NOTHING. BRILLANCE! or have the light as low as I want and more perks that the alarm is there. So even IF this little guy drifts in timekeeping (what better reason to do a weekly maintenance check on it) and I don't know that it does because I have had it only 4 days, who cares? Check the time once a week to make sure its to the minute if you need exact time. I have to say I am not someone who is bound by time ... I run off an internal clock, not the mechanical ones. This versatile time/ sound machine has the SOUNDS. THEY are just what I have been looking for. ... I been falling asleep to the sounds of the thunderstorm for the last few nights ... and so cool you can set it on a timer so it turns off ... have to say I wake up slightly cause the thunder is gone, but slip right back to sleep so its obviously effective in its job. I LOVE THIS! So thumbs up Buffbee! After over 20 years of looking for a company who could do it without breaking my bank, you made my sound machine. THANK YOU!

Good clock. Easy to use. Pretty. Love the dimmer. Can turn the light all the way down.

I've been using this clock for several months now, and I mostly love it! The noise settings are awesome, and I love how you can choose a sound to wake you up in the morning. I especially LOVE the dimmer dial, so I can turn the light of the clock up or down. It's bright enough when turned up that it can almost serve as a nightlight, but I elect to turn it down as much as possible to the point you can barely see it in the dark (I like to have my room be pitch black). I do have a couple issues with it and that is why I've given it 4 stars instead of 5. My issues are: -When the alarm goes off in the morning and I either turn it off or hit snooze, I have to turn the white noise sound back on. I HATE the sudden silence when it turns off, so I've trained myself to find the right button to turn the sound back on while I'm still waking up. -I kind of wish all the buttons had little bumps to let you know where they are in the dark. Like when I want to turn the noise back on after I've snoozed the alarm—I have to feel around for a second to find the right button and I don't always press the right one. -The white noise sound while the clock is on snooze is louder than the original setting. Once the alarm goes off and I snooze it then turn the white noise back on it is pretty dang loud. I don't want to mess with the volume settings though, because I have the original white noise at the exact level I want it, so I just deal with it. Other than these, the clock is great! I plan to keep using it for the foreseeable future.

Perfect sound machine. Puts me to sleep in about 5 to 10 minutes. The alarm has a perfect tone. Colors are so soothing. Sits easily on one of my dressers. Provide provides calming sound and color. Easily responsive, easy set up. Easily changeable.

The best compact and easy to use alarm clock. The sound machine option has a variety of tunes. The lighted base has a nightlight to change color depending on your decor.

This has all the features of more expensive brands however no app for controlling the device which I personally would prefer not to have. Very happy with this purchase I use it every night! There are so many different settings for sound, it has a sleep timer on it, also the alarm comes with several different sounds which I rotate between, also you can dim the actual time display which is awesome so no annoying lights if you sleep in a dark room. I bought this over a year ago and have used it every day and it works amazing still!

I bought this for the sound machine. It doesn't have a ton of choices but the ones it does have are nice. The top buttons do light up when you push them. There is an ambient light that you can use that changes colors. What I really like is there is a dimmer switch to brighten or lower the brightness of the clock. The numbers are a white color so it's nice to be able to dim it at night time.
