Play the songs that made history and progressively improve your skill! Review: Nice Arrangements - I really enjoy the arrangements in this book. I know music, but only recently challenged myself to play the base clef notes. The arrangements in this book are not so simplistic that they are boring. They give a challenge, but at the same time the songs sound really nice, making me want to play even more. I've gotten other books along this line, but I find myself playing from this book the most. Review: Beautiful arrangements - Beautifully arranged, challenging but not overwhelming.

Reading classical music
I played the piano years ago and I just recently received a piano from my neighbor. You have to have prior knowledge of reading the music sheets and playing the piano, or this book will seem foreign to you. These pieces are short and go from easiest to hardiest. You can even download the music and listen to it. I like the Skater' Waltz and Swan Lake, but they are good, from what I have done so far.

The QR code is a game changer!
Love this book of sheet music! I took 5 years of piano as a kid and am just getting back into it. I’ve dabbled in playing here and there since quitting and thought this would be an easy boon to get me back into it but honestly… it’s harder than I thought! I’d say it’s late beginner or early intermediate. I can read music but I’m definitely rusty. And I struggled. Still doable if you stick with it which is just the amount of effort I wanted. But if you’re looking for a truly beginner book, this may be a bit challenging. One of the highlights is the ability to scan the QR code on one of the first pages and you can hear each song played. It’s a total game changer. you can listen to each track and figure out which song you’d like to learn as you excitedly hear a classical piece you’re familiar with and also so you can use the audio to more easily learn the song and hear the tempo/what it’s supposed to sound like.

For the novice piano player
As the author notes in the introduction, this book is not for people completely new to playing piano. Instead it is for newer piano players who have a basic understanding of how to play and how to read music. I liked that this book takes some very well known and recognizable pieces, like Das Fledermaus and a piece from Carmen, and simplifies them. This makes newer players feel accomplished because they are not just playing "baby" songs instead they are playing real classic pieces that people will recognize. I think this is a very straightforward but well done book. I look forward to mastering these pieces.

Readable with sound files included.
Easy to read for the nearsighted. It is very generous of you to offer the sound files!

Very happy with this book!
I haven't yet finished it. I'm playing thru it and am delighted so far. In the Hall of the Mountain King is one of my faves and I can actually play this version! It's a little tricky but not insurmountable with a bit of practice. Most of these need some work but they are very doable and build confidence. Very happy! Not for a person who is just starting but more for a later beginner and early intermediate I'd say. You need to know how to read music.

It is nice to learn the piano with timeless pieces of classical music. You can have nice excitement even with these simplified pieces and then eventually take more in-depth courses
