If you are careless about their many measurements, such as thread teeth per inch, inner and outer diameters, head size, etc., you will have trouble or make trouble (often weakening the thing you are working on). If you are not careless about these things and try to get by with tape measures and rulers, you will probably waste time when you have little time. If you use a weell designed and well made measuring tool for these things, like this set from WEN, you will get these things right in much less time. What separates this set from others in its category are that this set is strong metal, easy to read, pocket sized, and complete. The design is seriously smart, and fairly intuitive. It comes with a pouch, which is handy. Careful not to lose the triangular pop outs though. A bit of electrical tape will help with that. (Found out the hard way.)

I use mine all the time. definitely worth the price. it's nice to be able to size screws without having to drive all the way to hardware store. Very durable. It seems like a good quality metal. The markings are very clear. Precisely milled. Very easy to use.
