Because all of the utilities were on direct debits from MY bank account, she didn't bother telling the suppliers or reading any of the meters.A few weeks down the line I realised that I hadn't seen any final bills and asked her for the readings. She said it wasn't her problem. Of course she still had the meter cupboard key, but couldn't lay her hands on it.So here I am, paying for all the utilities of the new owners, the shops are shut and I needed to get those meters read a.s.a.p.Amazon. Prime. £2.29. Delivered next morning. Bish, bash, bosh. In fact I didn't even leave the house between ordering and receiving it.Meters read, suppliers sorted, new owners are lovely. Ex-wife? Less so.

If you like blue plastic energy metre keys then you'll bloody love this!Firstly, it's blue not green nor red!Secondly, it's made from some kind of hydrocarbon which as we all know is dead dinosaur so probably not vegan.Finally, after a little bit of practice it's locks and unlocks standard energy metre boxes perfectly.I was a little disappointed with the length of time it took to assemble, unlike most IKEA products this come ready made which completely ruined my weekend as I had planned to spend most of Saturday putting off its assembly and then some of Sunday arguing with my spouse when it all falls part

What can I say...... Its a utility cupboard key. (electric and gas meter cabinet) it's fits the triangle shaped fitting. It's exactly the same as the yellow one you always lose, except you'll notice, it's blue. There is only 1 key included, it appears that your getting two in the picture. But only 1, That means it is not the cheapest on amazon, but its blue!

Opens the gas AND electric meters - the convenience of having only one key has enriched my life enormously. The status it grants should also not be underestimated; as the other reviewer states the blue colour is simply breathtaking and the admiring glances from my jealous neighbours who only have yellow keys is payment enough for the increased cost of the blue version.
