Review: Very pretty but this is a wet and wavy unit - Ordered the 14inch. Hair is longer than expected, so no need to go "one size up" as usual with curly hair. Had a slight odor as wigs/weaves do. Shampoo and conditioner do not work. The smell will come back. Soak hair in water with 1-2 cups of liquid fabric softener to permanently get rid of odor. Fresh scent will last for days as well. Can soak a couple of hours or as long as overnight.The hair on this looks like a jerry curl and it's pretty. Curls drop once combed/brushed. Not good. You have to wet the hair and leave it alone to air dry for curls to hold. Do not use razor comb on this hair. Will leave jagged/straight ends. Use cutting shears only to retain curl on ends. The color is close to black. I prefer jet black hair so I dyed it with basic Loreal hair color and it took well. The lace is soft, but it still molds to the hairline as well as the hard lace wigs do. I'm dark skinned and found the lace too light for my complexion so I used brown hair dye to color the lace. My stylist used Got 2 B ultra glued (black bottle) to attach the lace but that only lasts a couple of days. Then you have to lift the lace to remove product buildup with water and alcohol, and start over. I don't attach the lace to my hairline anymore. I just created more baby hair and gel that down over the lace edges, stays in place for days. Was never a fan of the "baby hair" look but no one sees it from ear to ear except for the small bit at my forehead. The cap size is average. I have bigger face/smaller head. I had the wig sewn on so I would resist the urge to take off my hair every night! And so that my hair does not move during intimacy! Good price, fast shipping, decent quality. Can sleep with it without waking up to a matted or tangled mess. Keep a spray bottle of water mixed with a good quality conditioner to wet the hair and go. UPDATE: The curls eventually start to straighten out overnight. Lots of spraying with my water/conditioner mix every morning to get the curly wave back. This is wet and wavy hair. Wet it to get waves. Still very pretty but I don’t like leaving the house with very wet hair.
