Q: Is this good for stimulating collagen?

Retinaldehyde requires one conversion to become retinoic acid in the skin. Retinoic acid is the active ingredient in Retin-A and tretinoin. This does stimulate the production of collagen and elastin; not as good as Retin-A/tretinoin but better than other retinols which require two conversions to become the useable retinoic acid in the skin.

Q: Do you use this as you would retin A, wait 30 mins after washing face or can be used right away?

Are use it immediately after washing my face. Once I dry my face I put the retro Noll on and then I layer in my nighttime moisturizer over the top of that and put my eye cream on. Since I’ve started using this product for over two years now I have never had to exfoliate my skin with any scrubs or special products. The retinal maintains new skin cells and sloughs off the old so your face always feels adequately moisturized. This is literally my favorite product that has made a world of difference. I cannot use a stronger retro no product the 1% makes my skin red and burn but this is 0.5% product works very well I do not get irritated. I hope my answer helps you.
