Sun Maid, California Zante Currants, 8oz Box (Pack of 3)

Can't go wrong with anything from Sun Maid. I use all of their dried fruits for baking and have never been disappointed. Great color, texture and flavor. Lucky to have them available in all grocery stores.

Currents add so much to cookies, breads because they are a little burst of sweetness and tangy flavor. Sunmaid has perfected the drying and processing of currents. When a recipe calls for raisins you can add currents for a really great taste. Sun Maid currants are tiny but mighty.

These came packed in a group of 3. Now, I don't know if I need three at once, but that's how they came. The first pack which was opened was very fresh and the currants were delicious. The serving size was larger than I needed to sate my hunger, so I ate less. Currants are high in polyphenols which are very good for you, so I am happy to be eating something good for me and delicious.

Came fresh and very satisfying. Will definitely buy again.

After you try these, you'll never want to go back to plain old raisins!! Better flavor and a bit of a "crunch" to them; terrific for salads, cereal, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, or garnish for almost any meal. A few months ago, I tried out the whole foods store brand currants; they were terrible in comparison. I will always go back to this brand; the packaging and picture of the Sun-Maid lady are also nostalgic for me.
