Soft Top Roof Compatible with BMW Z3, Hood Half Cover Custom Covers for Protecting Soft Top Roof

Just received my replacement cover and it's excellent compared to the first one I received. The first one was NOT WATERPROOF and it didn't fit as well as this replacement. The replacement cover was packaged better too and I noticed when I unpacked it there were pieces of cut threads that it was actually new. I was asked when returning the previous cover if this was a used item. Now, I believe it was used and did not fit well in the back, in front and on the sides. I'm very happy to have a much better soft top cover. Unfortunately until it rains, I won't know if it's waterproof or not. But right now I'm loving this Soft Top Cover. The straps are great holding the cover around the outside mirrors on both sides. It is really a nice product when it's new and fits the top and around the areas needing protection.

I love this cover, so much better than a full car cover when all I really need is to protect from rain and leaky roof seals!

Easy to install. I love how they used magnets used to hold the top onto the body panels and used a cloth material around those magnets to help prevent scratches on the paint. I also love how they have a strip that feeds into the trunk as an extra layer of protection to make sure the top doesn't fly around during heavy winds. The stitching and build quality is not the best it could be, but for >$90 I really can't complain. 4/5 stars due to it not being entirely waterproof as stated. There is water intrusion around the stitching of the cover but it's not enough to enter into the car, even during some periods of heavy rain. Previously, I had minor water intrusion around the back window of my soft top as well as the A pillars. This top prevented water from entering the car completely. That being said, I HIGHLY recommend you clean the rear plastic window and apply a towel or some type of soft cloth between the window and this car cover to prevent scratches from plastic-on-plastic contact before applying the cover. I also appreciate them including a carrying case that isn't impossibly difficult to fold the top back into when not in use. There's even enough space to fit my rear window cover (the oem Z3 rear window cover) but if you don't have one I'm sure a regular towel can fit in there as well.

I have had it on my Z3 outside all winter. Through snow storms, 40mph winds and rain. Stayed put pretty much entire time. Rear came loose in a windstorm but I tucked the edge in the trunk and shut it. Been fine since. Magnets and loops around mirror make easy to pop open and check interior for water.

I just purchased an immaculate 2008 BMW Z4 in BMW blue. Roadster convertible. The top is in perfect condition and I want to keep it that way. Applied a couple cans of scotchguard and bought this top cover thinking that I would use it as intended being that it is convenient to put on and take off. It attaches and fits flawlessly. The doors and trunk hold the cover on along with some hidden magnets sewn into the cover. High quality, thick and excellent fit. I really like it, very practical. Highly recommended.

I’m very happy with the fit of this cover. I got it to keep rain out of my aging BMW, and it’s doing well at that, but some moisture does get through, either through the fabric or seams. But it’s a durable, quality cover. It’s a perfect fit: tucks under the wipers in front, slips into under the trunk lid lip (but not inside the trunk) at the rear. The sides have Velcro straps that fit under the rear view mirrors, and there are even some magnets stitched in along the sides to keep those edges from blowing loose. The slip case is well made. I haven’t used it much as it’s winter and the cover’s been on almost constantly, but it’s nice to have. This is a really nice accessory when a full cover is overkill, and it’s much quicker to remove for access to one side or the other

I can get it on in under two minutes. I was surprised it came with no instructions but it is fairly intuitive to install. The carry case is a nice touch. I doubt this will last more than a year with daily use but it is not too expensive. Definitely easier and cheaper than replacing the convertible top.

I hardly ever write reviews on my purchases! But this item is so good, I decided too. My BMW Z3 would leak rain water in to the cabin from the roof in bad weather . This cover fits perfectly over the roof, has magnets to hold if place and keeps it perfectly dry now. I highly recommend anyone who owns a BMW Z3 that wants to keep your car’s interior dry from the elements.

This is an excellent product that is high quality. I highly recommend the cover for anyone wishing to protect the roof of their Z3. Will be ordering another just in case this one shows signs of wear.
