I've been using the CyberPower CP1500PFCRM2U UPS System for a few months now, and it's been a solid performer for my UNRAID server setup. Here's my take on it: Pros: Power Capacity: With 1500VA/1000W, it provides ample power backup for my essential devices, including my computer, modem, and router. I can have enough juice in the bank to allow 15 minutes for a safe shutdown of processes when under normal loads using UNRAID. Sine Wave Output: The pure sine wave output ensures that my sensitive electronics receive clean power, which is crucial for maintaining their performance and longevity. Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR): The AVR feature helps stabilize minor power fluctuations without switching to battery power, which is great for protecting my equipment. Multiple Outlets: The eight outlets are very convenient, allowing me to connect multiple devices without needing a power strip. This is amazing in itself. Remote Management: The option for remote management via the PowerPanel software is a nice touch, especially for monitoring and managing the UPS from a distance. I prefer to still use my UNRAID management tool as it is seemless and connects with ease. I also can configure it to prevent a system shutdown if the power were to come back within a certain timeframe. This is great for those random outages in the area where it comes right back. Cons: Runtime: The runtime is relatively short, around 3.1 minutes at full load and 10.2 minutes at half load. It's enough to safely shut down my devices but not to keep them running for an extended period during a power outage. At the end of the day, it isn't a generator, it is a UPS. Weight: The unit is a bit heavy, weighing around 27 pounds (12 kilograms). This makes it a bit cumbersome to move around if needed. I suggest you put it on the bottom of your rack as it can allow for a stable mount that isn't top heavy. Initial Setup: The initial setup can be a bit tricky, especially if you're not familiar with installing UPS systems. Properly connecting all the devices and ensuring everything is working correctly took some time for me when it came to UNRAID. Luckily there are enough people who have answers to the questions I had, and it allowed me to setup everything in a day. Overall, the CyberPower CP1500PFCRM2U is a reliable UPS system that provides excellent power protection and multiple features for home office use. Just keep in mind the short runtime at high loads and the weight if you plan to move it around frequently.

I got this for my audiophile stereo system, satellite tv receiver, and 65” tv. It works great. No noise at all on the stereo, even on phono and am radio. It arrived showing 100% charged. I had everything on, pulled the plug, and everything kept running with no glitches. Showed 30-45min of battery runtime depending on TV content. I onl ran it a couple minutes on battery. This home entertainment system does not like brief power interruptions and this backup power supply is just what I wanted.

Excellent entry level 2U UPS by Cyber Power. Was worried on noise output compared to the next competing UPS by TL and no issues. Currently have a Solar+Bat setup but sadly, Grid is priority and takes less than 2seconds to switch to Solar/Bat from a Grid power outage. This UPS was necessary for these hiccups and as a good secondary backup. Will be powering 2x 2U server AMD based nodes that will either be VMware ESXi or Proxmox hosts for my home server environment for prod/dev. Node 1 AMD R9 5900X w/128GB DDR4 ECC UDIMM with total of 3x SSDs, 4x HDDs, 1x GPU on a 500W PSU (Pending)Node 2 AMD R9 7900 w/128GB DDR5 ECC UDIMM with 4x SSDs 500W PSU UPS currently supports Node 1 and main gaming PC on a AMD R7 7700X w/32GB DDR5 UDIMM AMD RX6650XT w/650 PSU are active and load is at 12% idle. Will be adding 4 home level network devices, 1x DOCSIS 3.1 Cable modem, 1x Router, 1x 5port 1Gb Switch w/PoE. 1x 8port 1Gb Switch. Once Node 2 comes online, the main gaming PC will be unplugged from the UPS. My only CON about this UPS is that there is no Surge Only Power Port vs other UPS units.

Extremely disappointed with the company CyberPower. I bought the model CP1500PFCRM2U to install in the server rack at my business. After mounting it inside the server rack, I clicked the power button and nothing... Unfortunately, it feels a lot heavier than it really is and was a complete pain unmounting it and removing it from the rack. You can see in the photos that the main LCD screen was completely detached and the circuit board for the power button was also detached. I contacted the company with photos and after a half dozen generic responses was told that they would RMA the product. However, I noticed this in part of the response email "CyberPower does not pay for you to return a product for warranty service; however, CyberPower pays the shipping to return the new or replacement product." Honestly, I feel completely scammed. Why should I have to pay for return shipping when the circuit boards were completely detached when I received the product. I took the front panel off and re-attached both the LCD and circuit board for the power button. There's some sloppy glue preventing me from completely seating the power button but at least I can turn the unit on now. The buttons are kind of sunken into the unit but it is usable. Complete scum move from the company. Also, this review is being tagged for build quality, let me emphasize the build quality was TERRIBLE. Not functional, bad quality control, and poor customer server, do not recommend.

Update: This UPS does NOT mount flush with the rack rails, unlike every other rack-mounted equipment I have seen in decades of working in computer centers! The ears are not flush with the front of the UPS, but are set back about 2/3 of an inch. This makes the UPS protrude more than all the other components in my cabinet and mars the aesthetics. Spouse wanted a horizontal orientation on the UPS we use for our media component. This fits the bill perfectly. We are very satisfied so far. We have it connected via local USB to our media server PC, and it's supposed to methodically shut the PC down when we lose power. This has been successfully tested during a power outage. A few caveats: - I'm not a big fan of the not too intuitive Windows-based monitoring software, but it "usually" works. I had to uninstall, remove drivers, reinstall, reboot a few times, though. It keeps asking me to enter the battery purchase date, but offers no way to do so. I tried installing the "management" software in accordance with Internet advice, but that didn't function AND broke the monitoring software... - I did not add the optional network card (over $300?) - I did not pay for the optional subscription to their cloud-based monitoring service. For a 15 amp circuit and/or rack mounting this is a great option, subject to the above caveats.

Great UPS unit. I was powering 3 R710s and a DL380 GEN 9 with this. It had no problem and would give them just enough time to shutdown in the event of a power outage.

I'd been in need of a whole new UPS, as my smaller 350W ones from 2008 were now no longer charging batteries and would drop the second any type of power issue was detected so grabbing this as its then price of $400 for a 1500VA 1000W UPS was far too good to pass over. I have a 1500VA, 1500W CyberPower UPS for my homelab's rack, so I'm already a heavy fan of CyberPower. Pro's: The unit isn't too heavy and it's shallow depth makes it ideal for limited space in a rackmount, and it doesn't bend the rack up. Ironically, my managed switch puts more of a wow in the rack posts than this unit does. o.O User interface is generic, simple and easy-to-use. If you've used any UPS before then there's really no need to worry about display settings and how-to's. It's got the new built-in green energy system that when the UPS is charged and not on battery, it auto-bypasses the transformer and reduces energy consumption and waste by 75%. Unit switches over from utility to battery quickly, quietly and returns to normal just the same. NO LOUD FANS! In fact, I didn't even notice let alone hear if there was even fans in this unit which is very nice! So bonus on it being ultra quiet! Came to me with 92% full charge, so not a lot of time needed to fully charge it before putting it into production. And last but most important of all: She has that beautiful and wonderful strong fresh/new electronics smell one can't help but admire and relish. That alone was worth the $400 ;) Cons: Unit says default setting is MUTE when running on battery. They lie! ;) Easy fix, though! The screws for the rackmount holes were too small for the back bolts on my rack, and I had to use the screws that came with my rack. You may have different results depending on your rack.

I deal with Enterprise Data Centers, but for my home lab I wanted something more affordable so so thought I'd try Cyberpower. I'm glad I did. This unit effortlessly provides full power as advertised, as well or better than other UPS I've used. Highly recommended.

I needed a rackmount UPS for my home lab. This one is a great value for a 1500VA UPS in such a small form factor, and it runs my server for nearly an hour without power, fantastic!

We have these at work in crappy conditions with even more crappy power and they are abused.... never failed. I bought one for myself. If you can't afford some monstrosity from APC these are you next best bet for like half the price.
