Wild Man (Dream Man, 2) [Ashley, Kristen] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Wild Man (Dream Man, 2) Review: A Wild Rild Indeed! - Okay. So Wild Man is the FIFTEENTH Kristen Ashley book I've read since late-June, and my love for her style is not diminishing in the slightest. Honestly, I can't even begin to comprehend how one mind can continue to create so many engaging and dynamic characters. Such fun, sexy, realistic and suspenseful stories filled with heart-stopping moments of beauty, with each story having a unique feel. My mind is boggled, but KA does it, so there you have it. I am always grateful for a good story that takes me away from reality, but I've been especially grateful right now, because I read Wild Man during the first week of the government shutdown. (Side note: It's been a very stressful time, considering my husband works for the federal government, and has no idea when he will again be paid for his work.) I'm not telling this for any other reason than to say, you know you have something special when you can be consumed by a story even when you are stressed to the max. Also, I am pleased to say that I have no read so many KA books that I can now go off an a tangent that would make any of her heroines - particularly Nina Maxwell - proud. I now find myself talking like these chicks and that had me pretty freaking pleased. Bonus: My Guy thinks it's cute. So back to Wild Man. I obviously loved it, even more than Mystery Man! Brock and Tessa got off to a troubled start, but once they get going, their relationship was terrific. These two were such a... healthy (?) couple. Maybe it's that they were a bit older than a lot of KA's other couples, or perhaps it was just them as characters, but whatever it was, I liked it. Once they got their initial issues sorted, their struggles were mostly external, dealing with exes, families, friends. Brock and Tessa reminded me a lot of Tate and Laurie (from Sweet Dreams). Considering that Tate and Laurie are one of my very favorite couples (along with Luke and Ava), then you know why this is a compliment. Something I'm really enjoying about Dream Man series is how each story, despite being a companion, is connected to the others. I loved seeing Hawk and Gwen again. I like the tidbits with Mitch, who gets the next book, and Tack. Not only do you get that, but also...this series continues to tie into the Rock Chick world in the best of ways! I almost had a heart attack when the boys from Nightingale Investigation show up, along with Hank and Eddie. And...SHIRLEEN AND DAISY. (If you know Shirleen and Daisy then you recognize my CAP SMASH is warranted.) I have officially died and gone to KA Heaven. Every time I try to write a review for a Kristen Ashley book, I feel like I'm going to lock up. I just don't see how I can adequately describe them to the uninitiated. My best friend has asked me about them, and all I can do is gush, blush, bounce, then throw my hands up in the air and shrug. These are books better left to experience. I can't wait to experience book three, Law Man. Review: Love Love Love! - Book Review- Wild Man by Kristen Ashley Tess O’Hara has been seeing Jake for four months. Things have been going great. He was going slowly like she needed. Then one night everything changed. She found out what was really going on. Jake was not what she thought. On top of it all her ex-husband wouldn’t leave her alone and had dragged her into his criminal crap. She was considering leaving Denver and moving to Kentucky. She threw herself into her bakery and work, trying to get control of her life. Three months later Jake/ Brock Lucas shows up at her house, demanding to collect on her promise to talk. He knew her secret because he was there when she first voiced it. His reaction made the difference. He wanted this thing he had with her and after that information, so did she. Of course things weren’t going to be easy with her ex-husband and his ex-wife. They were both determined to come between Tess and Brock. I’ve read most of the books from this author. Her male characters are tough and rough around the edges. I love that. They know what they want, they are extremely loyal and they take care of what is theirs. I also like the female sisterhood that developed with all the female characters. They embrace each other and Elvira is a hoot. Love her. The author also includes a lot of the same characters in each book, so it’s fun to revisit them. One of my favorite parts about reading a series is seeing past beloved characters. Tess was an awesome character. She was sweet, smart and very observant. I related more with her than any other characters I’ve read by this author. I could see myself in her. I also liked that she was over forty and owned her own business. She was an excellent role model considering what she had dealt with. I also loved that Brock saw her and knew how lucky he was to have her. This story was swoon-worthy and fun to read. I couldn’t put it down. Then the author added family issues, ex issues and revenge. It kept the characters and the reader on their toes. Awesome addition to the Dream man series and a fabulous read. I give it a 4.5 out of 5.

Tessa O'Hara married the wrong man. After years she finally got away, filed for divorce and never looked back. She opened her own bakery and started a new life. But sometimes the past comes back even if you don't know it. One fine day, a handsome man steps into her bakery and asks her out while buying some sweets. She agrees and they start to date until one night ends it all. After they sleep together for the first time, all hell breaks loose and suddenly some agents are in her house, arrest her for interrogation. That night, she confesses something she never told anybody and her trust is broken by the one man she thought was special. After three month, this man steps back into her life and asks for forgiveness. But can she trust him again - even if she never forgot him.. and never stopped loving him? I read "Mystery Man" three years ago and absolutely loved it. I still don't know why it took me three years to read the next book of this series. Tessa is a great woman and a tough one. When she confessed what happened to her marriage I was totally disgusted. How she found the strength to carry one without speaking about what happened to her I don't know. I totally loved Brock's family even if they were a bit strange. His little niece rocked! And it was nice to meet Gwen, Hawk and Elvira again, even though they only played a minor role in this book. Of course you have to love the alpha male if you want to read and like this book. Just like Hawk from book 1, Brock "Slim" Lucas is 100% alpha. I think it was hot but some might disagree and might even be repelled by him. Just read it if you like hot, commanding men! I liked the writing and the story very much and already added the next book "Law Man" to my Kindle wishlist.

De l'humour, de l'amour et des situations de danger rocambolesques sur fond d'enquête ! Quel plaisir de lire les livres de Kristen Ashley !

10/10 Read this series, it’s worth your valuable time. This can be read as a stand alone however I believe it’s best read in sequence. The community of characters will make sense and enrich the story. I’m not going to re write the blurb, I’m just going to assure you that I don’t know anybody who has read it who didn’t enjoy it and the also recommend it. 10/10.

This is Brock "Slim" Lucas and Tess's story. This is one of my favourite books. I can't believe that so much happens to one Man. An ex-wife who is making his life hell, 2 boys who are scared and he doesn't know why, a family who are split down the middle because his dad has cancer and wasn't the best dad's in the world, a woman who owns a bakery who also has an ex-husband who is out to make both their life's hell. As well as just moving jobs as a detective for the Denver police. With all this on his shoulders he makes it seem easy and sexy as hell while he does it. The way Tess and Slim met is not the best ways and when it comes out it takes it toll on Tess. But Brock not wanting to wait any longer he goes to see Tess to get some answers. While there is an argument in her kitchen she does agree to meet him later that night so they can talk. That is when things start to happen and what I do like about this book is that it is not all done in like 2 weeks. There are some chapters that are three months later or something which is great because it shows the problems haven't gone away but they are still plodding along. There are crossovers with Hawk and Hector, Vance and Sharleen from Rock Chicks are in this book and I love the crossovers. Brilliant book, great characters and the plot is just fab. This is a great book that you will not be disappointed in reading, but this is not a standalone book, you must read the first one because that is where you meet Slim Lucas.
