These have been great for both me and my daughter! I don't know how well they would work with braces or orthodontic appliances, but I can tell you how they worked for us since neither of us have braces. The most important thing I want to express here is how much these helped my disabled child. She is autistic and struggles with tasks that require a high level of manual dexterity (buttoning buttons, grasping small objects etc.), so being able to effectively manipulate a small, thin piece of floss was not only next-to impossible, but very frustrating for her as well. Dental picks were an improvement, but the fixed nature of the floss makes it hard to get the floss curved in the "C" shape that the dentist recommends. The Gum Chucks fix all of that! The simple sticks act as a handle for you to place the floss more precisely without something akin to threading a needle! You can easily wrap the floss in a "C" shape, covering more area in less time! My kiddos teeth can get flossed before she gets frustrated and gives up and she feels accomplished! They are also hygienic as well. When you have finished flossing you simply press the button at the end of the stick and toss it! As for myself, I really appreciate not having to put my fingers in my mouth--definitely cleaner and not messy at all. This product has a number of applications: Anyone with dexterity issues, those recovering from surgery on hands or fingers, neurological disorders such as tremors or Parkinson's, people with severe vision issues or anyone just wanting to find a way to maintain their oral health in an easier and effective way! I highly recommend this product to anyone, but I think it will be most appreciated to those with a physical hindrance who struggle with flossing. Best flossers yet!

Have a kids that won't floss? These things are great! My kid treats floating more as a play session than a task. The are super easy for smaller hands to use and do the job that they were made for very well.

My kids are <10 years old but disliked flossing because they couldn't get a hold of the floss well. I have purchased the picks as well and those work to some degree. However, these little chucks help because they love using them, setting them up and tossing out the used floss. It makes it sturdier to grip for their little hands. Furthermore, some of the picks I have purchased were really harsh when they used them (I tried it) and this isnt' the case with these gumchucks! The gum chucks are softer and easier for them. So they are a keeper!

These really helped me to understand the concept of flossing and it’s the first time I have done a good job flossing. I’m an adult and got these because they seemed to be a better value, and they worked fine. They are a lot easier to use than regular floss and solve the aversive problem of having to touch slimy floss that is covered in saliva and having it hurt your fingers when it’s wrapped tightly around them. They worked a lot better than I expected and helped me floss a lot more than I ever have before trying them.

As much as I love the concept and have had great dental checkups due to using these they break too easy. I have tight teeth and have to use alot of force. They tend to last about a month before breaking.

It was a little awkward to use at first but once you get the hang of it’s....BAM it makes flossing your little ones teeth so easy. My 12 year old didn’t care for them much. My 7 year old looks forward to flossing and remembers every night and with a name like “gum chucks” who wouldn’t.
