Komelon SL2816; 16' x 3/4" Self-Lock Tape Measure

Nice tape. Selflock is great. The measurements are easily read. And the quality is what you would want.

I use tape measures daily. These are my favorite.

Nice tape measure. It is plastic but so are so many these days, even the name brands. Retraction on this is excellent. That is something that is an issue with cheaper tapes. For home use, very good choice. Does the job.

My favorite type of tape measure and I prefer that brand

I have been a furniture and cabinet maker for forty years. I don't care what the cost is for tape measure I like. I have several Stanley Leverlocks in my shop and I think one actually works as advertised. I just received this 16" tape and it is working perfectly. Certainly better than the Stanley's did out of the box, and the Stanley's are four times this price. I have just ordered two more of the Komelon tapes in Metric and one with fractions. I a couple of months I will get back here and let you know how well they work under heavy use. Update: After two days of casual use, the tape no longer locks. To their credit Komelon is sending a replacement at no charge. I have two other models by this company coming in today. We shall see. Update: I received a much better working tape this time ( warranty replacement) it was in my hands with three days. The two other tapes I have received are excellent.

These tapes are nicely finished and easy to read. They work a bit different as they automatically lock when the tape is pulled out. Then you push the button to release and retract the tape. I prefer these to any other tape I have tried.

I don't have to worry that will retract by itself

This is a very handy size. This type of self locking tape has become my favorite. No fumbling with a lock. Stays in place until released at the touch of a button. Definitely recommend.

I love Komelon tapes. I grabbed this for my work bag as I travel for work. Light weight and just as sturdy as the bigger tapes without the bulk and weight. Lovely to use, smooth and does not jam.

Easy to read and the lock feature works perfectly

absolutely love it. I work with tape everyday. They do break, but after a long use and abuse. I like the new tape I got-retracts so smoothly. I like the slim profile.
