Excellent value longjing. Very nice clean green tea taste.
Very nice longjing [B grade]. I am reviewing the B grade, meaning a slightly later harvest, with slightly larger leaves. However, the leaves are still very nice, and most are one bud one leaf or one bud two leaves. They arrived almost entirely unbroken thanks to the excellent packaging by ChaWu Tea. Aroma notes: Dry leaf- mild and nutty, slightly sweet Wet leaf- more potent aroma. Initial strong toasted notes turn to slightly fruity, and clean sweetgrass. Taste notes: Slightly nutty, faint hints of butter and a clean grassyness with notes from the roasting process. A very pure tasting green tea. High catechin and tastes very healthy. Overall this is an excellent introductory longjing for a good price. Almost completely unbroken, one to two leafs per bud, and an excellent green tea flavor. Higher grades will of course be sweeter and more refined in taste, but for the price this is an excellent tea, a very healthy daily drinker.

A Solid Dragonwell
This is a solid, affordable option for daily drinking. The leaves are fresh and flat and brews a smooth, slightly sweet cup with little bitterness.. While this is not top tier Dragon Well, it is solid choice for those seeking an affordable introduction to green teas.

AMAZING tea, especially for this price!
I consider myself a tea aficionado, and this Green tea might be the best one I have ever experienced, certainly the best on Amazon! It is definitely a premium product, you will never find this quality in any brick and mortar stores. The actual tea leaves look very fresh and have a pleasant aroma. The flavor of this tea brewed is quite pleasant, but also subtle. Just like all Green, White and Oolong teas, this tea must be brewed correctly in order to achieve its maximum flavor. That means proper temperature, timing and dosage. It must be brewed at around 180F for no more than 1 to 2 minutes. It can then be brewed again at a HIGHER temperature (around 200F) for approximately 3 minutes. Second brew is not as flavorful but still adds a bit of the less refined, Black or Oolong tea taste. It actually tastes completely differently on its second brew. I highly recommend this specific tea from this specific merchant, this is my favorite Camelia Sinesis product!

Kind of weak to my taste
It does have a fresh grassy taste but not strong enough for me no matter the brew time.

very good Dragon Well tea for its value
I am a big tea drinker for over 20 years. My all time favor is Long Jing (aka Dragon Well). I used to buy directly from China. Logistics was a pain and quality was unpredictable. Recently, I discovered there are more tea sellers on Amazon. I decided to give them a try. My budget for my first sample tasting is tea under $4/oz range. And my review is based on expectation of this grade of tea. Cha Wu's comes in with the best vacuum sealed packaging in a cardboard box. Its aroma is slightly faint, but you can smell Long Jing’s distinct aroma. Its leafs are exactly as described, b-grade, which is a few leafs from the bud picked towards mid of the season. Its color is pretty, with slightly dark green from stir-drying. In hot water, you can see more clearly of its leafs’ shapes. These leafs are consistent, healthy and relatively tender. Cha Wu’s flavor, like its scent is also on the light side. As a Chengdu tea drinker, you need to take your time to savor ;) I also tried Oriarm, FullChea. They all deserve a 5 star for tea in $3 per oz grade. I am very happy that I finally found a stable source for my tea. (fyi, the tea in hot water in my photo is just to show the leafs. To properly drink this type of tea, you nee a filter so you can take it out after 20 second to a minute depends on your taste.)

Literally needs to be washed before drinking
This tea is extremely dusty and contains lots of dirty residue and stuff in it. Normally you pour hot water in and pour it out for the first round as "tea washing", but that's not gonna do it for this tea. Because some dirt residue are bigger than the filter holes and won't come out. I literally had to wash it in a bowl before use it. Once I saw a tiny ball of fur/fabric in it, once a tiny black dirt which looked a little like a small bug. To say the least, I wouldn't recommend buying the B grade of this, since that's what I bought. Maybe A grade and above have better quality, I don't know, and I'm not planning to buy and find out.
