My bed legs are square and 1.6 inches wide, is it possible to use them?

Yes. The receptacle on top is round but almost 2 1/2 inches in diameter, plenty big to fit a 1.6 inch square inside it.

Would these furniture risers be too big for 1 inch legs?

They are 3.8 inches wide, which is really big compared to 1-inch legs and may be incongruous, which requires your own judgment.

Will it accomodate 1" diameter legs or is that size too small?

Yes, it can accommodate legs up to 2 inches and 1 inch is more than enough.

Will these wooden risers hold the weight of a large double bed?

Yes, I think it is much better than plastic products, they are made of solid wood.
