Love the scent!
This review is for the Bergamot and Sandalwood shower gel. The scent is wonderful and not overwhelming - and bergamot is my favorite essential oil, so I love that I can get the scent in a body wash that isn't overwhelming and drying. I always hesitate to try new bath products because so often they leave you feeling like you've been full-body dunked into a vat of scent. I hate that! The Puracy body wash has wonderful scent (earthy bergamot and sandalwood) that is relaxing and soothing, and it lingers slightly after the shower but not in an overpowering way. It is moisturizing. I still have to lotion after the shower, but my skin is not obviously dry like it had been. I love this body wash and will keep buying this scent.

Good product
Good product , I’ve been using it for about a month now, the bottle should last a long time , like the concept and contents, seems good on my skin, pity the price is so high.

Light and gentle on skin, great packaging
I love the puracy product line. The soap is gentle on the skin leaving the moisture in. It is not heavily scented and is made from only a few ingredients. The refillable packages helps to reduce recycling and plastic waste from going into landfills and reduces plastic consumption. I hope they can further develop a non-plastic packaging

Great Lather
This stuff is great, the aroma is light and pleasant and it works up a great lather which is rare for a natural body wash.

Puracy vs Lume
I tried Lume whole body deodorant about 4 years ago. Le’me just say - PEW!! It was a mixture of earthiness (dirt or clay) mixing with my body funk. No deal here. I had been using Native for the past 3, 3.5 years, but noticed it kind of failing me a bit as of late. Bodies do change. So, I decided to give Lume another try. In doing so, I discovered they’d expanded their line to also include acidified body wash. I was not only intrigued because I I’d never heard of acidified washes and the advantages they boast for odor reduction and elimination (what soap never fully does for me), but also because of several reviews claiming reduction or elimination of hyperpigmentation, which I have from scarring from bumps. So I got the starter kit which came with a full stick of deodorant, a travel sized tube of cream deodorant and wipes, and my upgrade of a full sized body wash. Guess what? My body indeed changed and took immediately to the deodorant (it IS possible that my first try followed a switch from standard deodorant and my body had to acclimate to the “more natural’. I’d long given up antiperspirant). It does not quite give me the advertised 72 hrs of protection (lol), but it definitely gives at least 36 and as much as 48+ with out reapplying. Though I have to say, for my body, it’s only pits, under boob and feet approved. It causes irritation in, uhm, more “sensitive areas”, and, in those areas, while the smell is not BO, I find it unpleasant . And the body wash, easily passing the “butt-suds” odor test, completely and effortlessly cleansed all and any scent of odor away. I was hooked. But there were 3 strikes for Lume’s body wash. I find it both drying and mildly irritating to my face (including leaving some red marks and bumps), and mildly irritating to the “sensitive areas” (particularly the bum). Lastly, $20 a tube is expensive. So I began to search for alternatives. That’s when I found Puracy. Not only did I find an acidifying body wash that gave me 50% more product than Lume at half the price, it’s also 98% plant based cleansing. I also read repeated reviews about gentleness on skin, it being non-drying, and good for face and body. So, as my Lume wash was running out, why not give this wash a try? The first test was the nightly cleansing of my face of makeup. Puracy took it right off, leaving minimum residue on my washcloth after having first washed and rinsed with my hands. Can’t say the same for Lume where I always had to wash again with the cloth and then scrub out the makeup residue on the cloth. The results with Puracy were a clean, smooth face with no bumps, tightness, or dry shiny or red spots. Second test was the shower. It does not lather quite like Lume, but you don’t need to use any more than you would Lume either. The scent is not as strong and does not linger like with Lune either. These are neither good or bad but come down to preference (I prefer a bit more lingering scent, but this is not enough an issue to deduct points). Where the true difference comes and pushes this wash to the lead are the following. 1. Completely and effortlessly eliminates odor in all regions (just like Lume), but without irritation or dryness. 2. Related to #1 - it easily passes the butt-suds test! 3. You will likely not need Lume body wash to benefit from Lume deodorant - I showered at night and the next morning I still did not need to “replenish” the Lume deodorant applied the morning before. 4. It rinses so clean it makes toweling off a breeze. Lume leaves a slippery feeling once you rinse off, no matter how much you rinse. It looks like I’ve found a winner. As Lume’s deodorant is in line price wise with the market. And since Puracy does not have deodorant - this pair of competitors combine nicely to pose a winning defense against BO without a lot of chemicals, harsh or not. Now the next thing I will try is both laundry and cleaning from Puracy.
