Dr. Joshi's Holistic Detox

First visited Dr. Joshi in London some years back and began his detox. The claims are true. If you don't cheat for three weeks, your skin and your life will change. Immediately following the detox we could immediately taste any preservatives and sugar and couldn't eat them. Still eat to remain alkaline eight years later. Still a big fan of Dr. Joshi.

Great take on an alkalizing diet, but with a balanced, whole-food, liver health perspective. This approach has done wonders for my energy levels. That said, it's a bit of a read and confusing at times, but the physical version is MUCH more digestible than the Kindle version, which has all kinds of formatting issues and missing charts and such.

This book explains a method to for detoxing, Although preparation of food was time consuming, it was well worth the effort. I dropped 17 pounds within the 21 days and felt like I was eating all the time. I recommend it highly for anyone who wants to feel and look better.

Everyone should try this detox! one feels very satistied with the vatiety of food and even better, your wellbeing!! too bad that Dr Joshi needs Gweneth's name in the front cover, that almost turn me away!!but alas I gave in and bought it and do not regreat for one second!! I feel so healthy and lost the weight as promised!!

This book is a great intro into the world of a balanced Ph diet. It's not something most people usually think about and Joshi gives a good intro and lots of easy to follow sound advice. I did find some contradictory information in the book so you may need to do a little research before embarking on the detox. I did do the detox and felt wonderful...give it a shot you won't be sorry.

This detox really agreed with me.i slept better,had more energy and even lost weight. I'm going to continue well past the 21 days because I like the results that I've seen so far.My only advice is that it costs a lot to eat all of the proposed organic food so buy non- organic and it will be fine.

I enjoyed reading this book, and while I may not agree (believe) it all there is a lot of very interesting points. I have adopted some of the changes and I have seen a difference.

Like alot of holistic doctors I have met over the years I think Josh is carefree, vague in his explaining things, probably can be somewhat irresponsible with people under his care but he knows a thing or two and this is a very good book. I recommend reading this one even if you want to ignore some of the recipes, the ayurvedic stuff and the bmi chart the rest of the book is interesting!

I bought this book after a freind told me she had tried it and loved it. The book is clear, and tells you what you should and shouldn't eat, it also talks a lot about your holistic health and ayurveda. Overall this book is inspiring and gives some diet details at the back. I didn't feel it iffered me a plan to follow, and was more of an information book that an actual detox/diet resource. So I bought Total health for life, to find an exact plan.

Received this book it was in great condition the detox is brilliant I done it before and lost ten pound in three weeks and lost cellulite too but lost the book that I had so thought I'd get it again from here all in all very pleased 👍

I can definitely recommend this book. I was only just outside my BMI but within the first week I was back within it. Am on day 17 and, as promised, had comments about how well I look. My skin is much clearer and my energy levels have hit an all time high. I wake up ready for the day and don't disappear back beneath the quilt until the last possible minute. I've even taken to doing situps morning and night. Would definitely recommend.
