A great addition to my hobby retro workshop.
The silicone tube helps to get greater suction, to remove solder. A well built piece of kit.

Well Built Product That Performs.
I was very pleasantly surprised. It works as well, if not better, than any other manual solder sucker I’ve used. It comes with two replacement tubes that can be cut to size. The tubes can gum up if you use a lot of flux but that is to be expected. I ordered some additional tubes from a different vendor. It was a pack of twenty for a few bucks, so I should be set for a long time. I’ve also heard some buy tubing from an aquarium store and used it with success. There has been mention of the stem breaking when depressed. It feels very solid, but I think I can see where it might snap in time with heavy use. But again, it feels very solid and I’ve been using it often with no issues. I’ve had great experiences using this in conjunction with a soldering iron as well as a hot air soldering station. The suction is great, and the unit feels well built. In my humble opinion, it seems every bit as good as the Engineer brand. The body is metal and seems very durable and substantial without being too heavy. I would buy this again in the future and recommend it to friends. I have had great luck with KOTTO products so far. I ordered one of the square desktop versions of their fume extractor and I was also pleasantly surprised. It is very effective for what it is and is very well built. KOTTO, so far, is a brand that I have come to respect. Hopefully that continues. About the rating: I gave it a five-star review because I couldn’t really find a reason to deduct any. It’s solid and does exactly what a solder sucker should do. If you’re having issues, you might just need a bit of practice. No shame in that. Thanks for your time, LLAP

Excellent Quality Device w/ Flexible, Durable Tip and Great Suction!
I've been using this for recapping game systems and it's truly fantastic! It's a solid, relatively heavy device (in a good way), it feels good in my hand and works perfectly! A lot of people mention the advantage of the silicone tip being resistant to high heat (which is very true). Another great advantage is its flexibility - I've found it easier to approach solder joints from the side and be able to bend the tip over them to still have perfect seals. It's far more comfortable and efficient than having to approach head on with the stiffer nylon tips. I've used this to desolder around 80 capacitors thus far and it has proven to be very solid / well built, powerful and easy to use. As mentioned in some other reviews, the solder does build up in the silicone tip occasionally, however I haven't found it excessively troublesome (it's easy enough to pull the tip off and shove my tweezers through it). It's definitely made my hobby easier!!

Well made poor to use
The tool is extremely well made, that is where the good bit ends. To use it is pretty useless. I fix pcb's for my job, to clear a solder bridge is OK to use, To clear a hole of solder it is pretty dam useless. There is a cheaper much better option to use
