how many grams would equal a warhead?

I have never made a warhead but 1 teaspoon equals 4.2 grams and most home recipes for warheads say 1-3 teaspoons of citric acid; malic acid will intensify the sourness; we usually add about 2:1 ratio citric acid to malic acid when we make our concentrated lime juice.. hope this helps

What form of malic acid (for example DL)?

Not sure what "DL" is referring to, unless you mean deciliter. If so, that is way to much to add to a drink. 1 dl is a little under half a cup. The malic acid is in crystal form. It easily dissolves in water. I have a large cup that I put a little water into, I add one packet of real lime, two stevia packets (sometimes none), and just a little malic acid (I experimented). I mix it until dissolved, then add ice and more water. You don't need very much malic acid, so go easy on it until you figure out what you like. I also add malic acid to other drinks like lemonade and sparkling water. I enjoy very sour stuff.
