Finally, No More Clogged Shower Drain
This little gadget works surprisingly well. Installation took just a few seconds, and it immediately started catching hair before it could go down the drain. Cleaning it is much easier than dealing with a clogged drain or trying to pull hair out of plumbing later. What I like most is that water continues to flow freely while the hair wraps around the outside, making cleanup quick and mess-free. It's a simple design, but it's one of those products that makes you wonder why all drains aren't made this way. I use it in my shower and have been very impressed with how much hair it catches. It has saved me from dealing with slow drains and drain cleaners. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What's most important to know? It actually works. Easy to install, easy to clean, and does an excellent job catching hair before it causes clogs. One of those inexpensive products that solves a very annoying problem. 🚿⭐🧹

ShowerShroom is an Awesome Hair Trap, best I have found, but disaster if you do not modify.
With Modifications I would Give it 5 Stars, but without Modifications, this would definately be lost down the drain, or worse could become lodged and require expensive plumber cleanout. I gave it a 4star because it could not be used safely out of the package, but with easy minor modifications, it is an excellent hair trap drain. The good: This catches more hair than any other drain trap we tried, at least three. I have a liner drain and it was difficult to find anything that would work without immediately plugging, and required daily cleaning. This allows at least a week or two depending on hair length and loss. We have one long haired and one short haired showerer. The ShowerShroom is easy but yucky to clean (drain hair is gross). The Bad, after reading reviews, I first carefully placed the Shower Shroom in my drain, and indeed, it was longer than my Drain Pipe throat which expanded to a larger drain pipe. The flimsy rubber Upper stop that is supposed to keep the ShowerShroom in place would easily be pushed down the drain due to hair plugging causing it to be like a piston. The Fix: I took a cocktail swizzle stick, and broke it to a shorter length and placed it through two adjacent Drain Holes in the Top (Closed End, See Pics for direction up and down). and taped both ends to keep the Plastic stick in place. I then placed the widest part, bottom end (see Pics) into the drain until plastic stick seats across drain preventing Shower Shroom to go down the drain. Depending on your upper drain length, the shroom can be adjusted up or down depending on the row of holes used. With this or a similar fix, the Shroom will stop tons of hair going down your drain. Question: Juka Innovations, whay don't you make and include a similar modification in your Shower Shroom Product?

Finally, a hair catcher that actually works!
I purchased this along with several other hair catchers in my eternal search for one that actually catches hair. And I can honestly say that this one does work extremely well. I have this one pushed down into the first few inches of my shower drain pipe (it's pushed down into the pipe as far as it will go). The bottom "lip" hugs the sides of the pipe allowing no hair to slip past it. This thing is still close enough to the surface that I can reach down into the pipe and pull it out, but I did add some zip-tie loops to make pulling it out much easier. And just for shizz & giggles, I placed another hair catcher on top of the drain (the kind that rests on top of the drain opening). The one that sits on top of the drain pipe catches some hair, but not alot. After about a week of showering and hair washing I decided to check this one that sits down into the drain pipe...pulled it out and it had a nest of hair wrapped around it. I was amazed. So the catchers that sit on top can catch some, but some also slips under it and down into the drain. But this one caught the pieces that slipped past the first catcher. THIS IS THE ONE THAT ACTUALLY WORKS!

Good idea in concept; poor execution in design
I own several sets of the tubshroom and I bought several of the showershroom. The tubshroom was their first product conceived and it worked well for me for the most part. The only complaint I have with the tubshroom is that once the tiny holes get plugged with lint and hair and.....whatever, the water will start to back up until you clean it....and it isn't as easy to clean as it may seem. But on to the showershroom. The showershroom seems to have been conceived based on the success of the tubshroom and while it may have seemed to be a solution to a similar problem, the design issues are much different. In the tub, the tubshroom really has no where to go and in many tubs, it sits in the drain atop a metal protector which may exist for the original drain stop attached behind the tub wall and connected to a lever. So the tubshroom isn't going anywhere. Shower drains however, vary in design, and with my shower having just been rebuilt with one of the modern drains, my drain simply does not have a ledge for the Showershroom "wings" to hold it securely. My drain has a slanted design, but never-the-less, when the Showershroom was new, the wings that hold it from falling into the drain were much firmer. But as it got weeks older, the rubber seemed to soften a bit, especially from the weight of accumulated hair, lint, etc., and at some point, it simply slid down the drain. And because the size of the Showershroom is pretty close to the width of the drain itself, water was definitely getting backed up behind my beautiful Showershroom "stopper". I hired a plumber to snake the Showershroom down to the larger pipe down the line, but he was unable to clear the line fully. As I later found out, the Showershroom had slid down into the "S" pipe just under the shower and when the plumber stuck the snake down from the Shower end, the snake apparently forced its way past the Showershroom that was stuck, but it did clear some of the hair. So after the snake procedure, the drain seemed to be clearer and hence we thought our problem was over. But a week later, the water started to back up again and so I was certain it was somewhere still stuck in the line somewhere. What a nightmare. I took a look at my pipes underneath the shower and noticed that the pipes connected to the drain were the smaller standard size used to connect the "S" drain trap to the drain entrance. So I was 99% sure, the Showershroom was still in this section nearest the drain. To make a long nightmare short, I took a chance and simple got a coat hanger wire and created a hook at the end, hoping that it would run into the Showershroom and get hooked into one or more of the Showershroom holes. After about 20 minutes of shoving the wire in and out, trying to get it around the bend, I managed to push the wire further and SUCCESS! I started pulling out what I thought was hair, but instead, to my surprise, out came the Showershroom! In summary, if you're going to use the Showershroom, make sure the design of your drain is such that it will hold the Showershroom at the top of the drain with some degree of certainty. If not, you may be saving yourself time and aggravation with hair issues, only to be replacing that issue with a much, much bigger issue in a clogged drain. Needless to say, I only spent $100 to have my drain snaked, but if I had not been able to retreive the Showershroom on my own, plumbing costs would certainly have run many hundreds (if not thousands) more, depending upon the steps and time the plumber takes to eliminate the issues. I still feel the Showershroom is a good idea, but it needs to be redesigned so that there's some flexibility in how it suspends itself in differing drain designs.

Effective but Flawed Drain Protector
I purchased the ShowerShroom 2" Stand-Up Shower Stall Drain Protector with high hopes, and while it does a commendable job at catching hair and debris, there's one major drawback that keeps me from giving it a higher rating. First, the positives: this product is indeed efficient at its primary task – catching hair and preventing it from clogging the drain. For that purpose, it deserves recognition. It's easy to install and fits well in my shower stall. It’s appearance blends in well and makes it to were it goes unnoticed. However, there's a significant downside that has frustrated me during use. The hanger mechanism, designed to keep the ShowerShroom in place, is just too flimsy and not durable enough. It doesn't hold up well under pressure, and when the protector fills up with hair, it has a tendency to slip down the drain. This issue has led to some inconvenient moments in my shower routine. In summary, the ShowerShroom is functional, but it falls short when it comes to the reliability of its hanger. It's frustrating to see a product with such promise undermined by a simple design flaw. If the company can strengthen the hanger mechanism, it could be a five-star product. Until then, it's a decent option, but with reservations.

Perfect for linear drains
Perfect fit for my linear drain and durable. The metal basket that came with my linear drain was constantly clogging and extremely gross and difficult to clean. This drain even better and is very easy to clean. Highly recommend if you are sick of cleaning hair and gunk out your metal drain basket!

ShowerShroom - A Game-Changer for Clean Drains!
I recently purchased the ShowerShroom 2" Stand-Up Shower Stall Drain Protector, and it has quickly become a game-changer in my daily routine. This product deserves a solid 5-star rating for its innovative design and exceptional performance. The ShowerShroom is incredibly effective at catching hair and preventing clogs in the shower drain. The 2" size is perfect for stand-up shower stalls, and its stand-up design makes installation a breeze. I appreciate how seamlessly it fits into the drain, allowing water to flow through while capturing every stray hair. Maintenance is a breeze as well. The durable silicone material is easy to clean, and the compact design makes it simple to remove, empty, and reinsert into the drain. Say goodbye to the hassle of dealing with clogged drains and the need for harsh chemicals. The revolutionary concept of the ShowerShroom not only prevents plumbing issues but also contributes to a cleaner and more hygienic shower environment. It gives me peace of mind, knowing that my drain is protected without sacrificing water flow. In conclusion, if you're tired of dealing with clogged drains and want a hassle-free solution, the ShowerShroom is the answer. Its efficient design, ease of use, and effective hair-catching capabilities make it a must-have for every shower stall. A well-deserved 5-star rating!

Buon acquisto!

100% recomendable!.

Vielen Dank für die gute Idee! / Many thanks for the good idea!
:-) Many thanks for the good idea! It seems that this hair sieve didn't fit well in the shower drains of the two German speaking customers who reported there experiences with it here. Well, it does fit in the drain of our shower and works as well as the manufacturer claims. We are very happy that we have found this handy thing. Removing hair from the drain (earlier either cumbersome with tweezers or - if nothing else worked - with corrosive drain cleaner) is a breeze now: Remove hair sieve from the drain, use a piece of kitchen paper to remove the hair from the lower rim, position the cleaned hair sieve back into the drain - ready. If the shower is used by several people with long hair, I plead for a more frequent removal than just once a month... :-)
