worth it for the price
1st the cons.... If you hold it up to the light in certain ways, you can see some slight discrepancies in the finish. But you do have to look for them. For the most part, you will not notice them, so not really a problem. I am being picky. 2nd, the tuners are not as silky smooth as I might like, but well good enough to do the job. Again, being picky. They are perfectly serviceable, and for the price, just fine. 3rd. I'd like the lower bridge to be a little wider, opening the strings a bit. But that would be my preference. Again, picky. It is good enough the way it is. 4th, and the worst thing, is that the nut at the top is a bit high, making the string action too high and then a bit stiff and hard to play. A trip to Harbor Freight for some really fine files and a few minutes filing down the slots fixed that problem. That is called setting up the instrument, and that is not unusual even on an expensive instrument. Is it playable out of the box? Yes it is. I just wanted a bit lower action and the repair was simple enough. Now for the pros: It does look good. Sounds good. the frets seem to be accurately spaced. Some complained that the ends of some of the frets were ragged, but on this instrument, they were nicely tapered, so no complaints there. The fretboard seems to be very flat. No buzzing strings, so that is good. Some complained that there were position marks only on the face of the fretboard, but this one has them on the face as well as the side. Sometimes I feel that some reviews I read are for a different instrument..... Another comment I read was that there was no way to attach a strap on some instruments. But this one came with strap mounts, and even a nicely colored strap. Cool! It comes with an electronic tuner, (which worked much better once I installed the supplied battery.....!) and some spare strings as well as a polishing cloth. And of course, a perfectly serviceable carrying case that has a side handle as well as back straps and a pouch for those strings, a capo if you want one, and spare picks (which it came with). So the bottom line is, that this is a nice inexpensive 26" Ukulele that sounds good enough, plays easily, looks good, and comes with everything you need to keep it in tune and to play it. No directions, though. You need to get some chord charts and tuning charts if you are new to the instrument. Would I buy another one, or recommend it to a friend? Absolutely yes. Just a note, keep the tuner in the case with the ukulele. It will not fit in the accessory pouch.

Very nice uke!
I’ve purchased several soprano ukes and a banjolele, so when I found this tenor ukulele at such a low price thought I’d give it try. It exceeded my expectations! Very nice uke! Looks good, sounds good, feels good. Usually the first thing I do when I buy a lower-priced uke is replace the strings, but I didn’t have to this time. It came with nice Aguila strings already on it. Plus it came with an extra set of strings, a tuner, and a capo! It also came in a very nicely padded, quality case. It was delivered promptly and packaged very securely. I’ve never tried a tenor uke before, but I find it’s actually easier to play than a soprano because the frets are larger. I highly recommend this Hricane tenor ukulele.

Sturdy and Sound
It has been a few years since I purchased this ukulele. This is a starter for me so for the price and all you get I would recommend this. It has stayed tuned pretty well. I haven’t replaced the strings yet. The sound I think is good for this, once I am ready I will move on to a more quality sounding Ukulele, but for now this one isn’t terrible. My “Uk” hangs on a wall and so it is never in the bag unless I travel. I have had times where I didn’t bring the bag and just sat it in my car or on the floor of my car. Never had any issues with parts coming detached or loose. Mainly the instrument is a great starter. For the price you get so much. At the time I purchased this I didn’t get a tuner, it did not state one would come with it so it’s cool that the new listing says it does. The bag I receive is actually a great bag. Thick canvas material, well padded. Has rubber feet to be able to rest on. I did notice that the edges of the wood were the neck is is a bit chipped, but it has not impacted this instrument. I’d say try not to splinter the wood when building these.

Gorgeous - the padded backpack is all you'll need!
Purchased this Tenor and another smaller ukulele for my two children. First of all, this one is worth it for the well padded backpack alone! (The other one - different brand - came with a cinch-close lightly padded backpack sack). This is a BEAUTIFUL ukulele - the detail is superb. Sounds amazing. Might hold the tuning longer than the smaller uke? My daughter picked this one out (she's 13) and it fits her perfectly. The other smaller one we purchased (from another brand) is of good quality and it suits my 11-yr old son, but the $10 in price difference between the two is too small! This ukulele is worth so much more! If you're going back and forth between a few, get this one - you won't regret it - you'll wonder how they can sell them for this price!

Excellent value - nice Ukulele
Excellent Uke for the price! I like to play with a low G tuning, so it was nice that it already came with Aquila strings - all I had to do was change the G string. It has a nice, bright sound, hold the intonation reasonably well and comes with a very nice gig bag & little packet with strings, cloth and capo. For the money I don't think you can do any better.

Mold on exterior case
I purchased this same ukulele a few years ago and loved it. I wanted to purchase another for a family member, and it arrived with mold on the exterior case. I returned it and received a replacement, which also had mold on the case. I would like to buy one because I know it is a good instrument, but I'm hoping Amazon will fix this issue soon and remove the ones in their inventory that are moldy.

Great uke for the money and the bag is a great add-on!
I am a total beginner to Ukulele's and started with another one that was a Soprano, but because it was so much smaller, I had a lot of trouble getting my fingers cleanly in each fret. Someone recommended to try a tenor and I found this one where the reviews were pretty good. The uke sound pretty nice, has a nice quality finish. All the hardware feels solid, and looks good. The bag was a really nice bonus, frankly I almost ordered another bag at the same time assuming the bag that came with this wouldn't be very nice, but its actually quite a bit nicer than the bag I purchased seprately for my soprano uke. Overall, very happy with this purchase, great uke for the money and the bag is a great add-on!

Great Tenor Uke
I've been playing this uke for about two months and I think it's a great value. I read a lot of the reviews before I bought it and was worried about all the comments that said it wouldn't stay in tune. But it turns out, once the strings get conditioned and settle in, I hardly have to re-tune it at all. I bought it to get a little bit bigger sound than my beginner soprano uke and it sure gives it to me. I highly recommend this instrument.

EXCELENTE INSTRUMENTO!
Altamente recomendado!!

Bought at 53% off the regular Amazon price.
This was bought for my 81 year old mother and she is in love with it!! I have been looking on Kijiji for 2 months for ukuleles for both of us, I finally found a tenor uke for myself, but was not successful at all for my mother to find a tenor ukulele that was being sold at a reasonable second-hand price, the majority were advertised too close to the new price, even without a warranty or any retail support. We were both concerned about the idea of buying a ukulele on amazon, sight unseen, unplayed… so I read reviews here and on the UK amazon site. The reviews relieved us enough to give it a try. Mom's uke arrived 4 days earlier than the initial projected delivery date. It's wonderful, the case is wonderful, and having an extra set of Aquila strings to boot, wow. We both owe this great experience to the amazon shoppers that shared their experiences buying this ukulele. The amazon price was much lower than we would have had to pay in a retail store for a similar quality. The sound on this uke is great! The feel is great. We both think the finish is great and are a little perplexed at some reviews that said the finish seemed… unfinished….. seems to be an example of 'different people like different things'. There was no coppa, unfortunately, but it wasn't promised in the sales write-up. We are thrilled to not have to deal with non-musician, uninformed, rigid Kijiji sellers anymore. We're thrilled to have this beautiful looking and sounding brand new quality instrument with quality gig bag for significantly LESS money than we could find second-hand on Kijiji. Well done, amazon.

Have enjoyed this a lot
Tuner did not come with battery and battery was not easy to obtain so never used it. Decent beginning quality. I do have a lot of buzzing at times and am not experienced enough to know why. No pre-installed button for a strap so I have to take it to get one installed. Good news is it has a block inside in the right spot to make installation easy. I found the included strap was pretty useless - no instructions on how to use it so I guessed and it didn’t hold the neck anyway, which is what I require to make tricky chord changes.
