Polaris NEO Robotic Pool Cleaner, Automatic Vacuum for InGround Pools up to 40ft, Wall Climbing Vac w/ Strong Suction

Okay first of all I am a HUGE fan of Amazon Warehouse! 9 out 10 times I will order something from Warehouse even acceptable condition can be like new! Which was the case with this purchase, I actually bought not 1 but 2 of them for $130 each! They may have been refurbished I am not sure but they literally where brand spankin new! As a pool robot typically will only last 5 years I figured for this price I would have it covered for 10 years for less than $300!! Now on to the Polaris NEO Robotic Pool Cleaner review! Its a very well designed machine and feels very heavy duty indeed! In 12 years I have owned a Dolphin Nautilus which after some part replacements probably lasted 5 years, this was purchased used for 200 so got some good mileage for sure..I then made mistake of buying a cheaply made Aiper robot, it actually worked ok when it actually worked but the drive belts would only last 2 weeks! At first the vendor provided a couple belts, then they stopped and then I had to buy them from amazon when you could even get them in stock...finally they just stopped selling them and I had enough....the good news is after paying $600 for it, I think I had it for maybe 3 months, Amazon gave me a full refund but it was still painful to deal with... Anyways! This Neo seems so much better built, I really like the easy to use debris container, one button and it pops out to empty! It seems to get A LOT of debris small and large the only downside to this design is the container is a bit on the small size...so if your cleaning the pool after say the winter months or in the fall with lots of leaves etc prepare to empty it several times. It seems to cover the pool fairly well, theres not much to it to be honest, couple settings to set the pool floor material such as smooth/liner seems kinda gimmicky and don't see any difference an any of the settings. As far as well climing it does well, but it does not seem to go all the way up to the water line it closes but with past robots they seem to go a few inches higher..no big deal just an observation. So I guess that the ghist of the review, works well and feel if you can find this for 500-600 it would be well worth it over an Aiper or other cheap knock off just to have the Polaris brand and build quality and hopefully better product support.

I am very happy with this little guy! The Polaris Neo is a really good robotic pool cleaner. I see older reviews when this was product was $270, in gigantic pools with sharp angles, corners, and curves and people complaining about it getting stuck. Back then, it was less than $300 when other makes and models were going up to and over $2,000. It’s not made for big exotically shaped pools. I think this model was made for your basic in-ground pool. The Neo works really well in my pool. My pool is a14x28 walk-in with a Roman arch, and it cleans it perfectly! It climbs up the walls perfectly and takes fine dirt out really well! Occasionally, it will get stuck in the bottom drain skimmer but it always seems to pull itself out after about 15 seconds or so. No Wifi or other goodie’s but for $270, you can’t beat it! Again, when I bought it in 2023 for $270, it was a steal. I’m happy to say that it’s still working perfectly! Unfortunately, the price is $800 now. I guess that really changes things.

Let me start by saying I don’t like pools but my wife won and so we have one. I also don’t like pool equipment or pool robots. They all break and so I’m constantly spending money on repairs or replacements. When our Polaris 280 broke for the third time and the pool guy kept saying it was fixed but it didn’t suck anything up, I gave up and started researching another pool robot. I went to CES where I saw some awesome displays of the latest in technology robots with all of the bells and whistles, I researched on Amazon and Google, I asked our pool guy and our neighbors what robot they had and would they recommend it. None of the responses instilled any confidence that there was a unit that stood out from all of the rest, which in my eyes is reliable and at a good price. I found most responses pushing me towards $1200+ units, which sounded stupid to me, so I decided to go with my gut and get the Polaris Neo. Honestly, I wanted to hate this thing. I was mad that my pool was a mess and my old Polaris was sitting in the pool literally doing nothing. So here is my experience… First time I used it I was pissed. The unit just kept doing the same pattern in the deep end of the pool. After two hours the deep end looked great and the shallow end hadn’t been touched. When I read the directions I did exactly what it told me to do which was place the cord at the midway point of the pool. This was bad advice. The second time I used it I moved the cord to about 50% further into the shallow end. That did the trick. The total pool got cleaned. I needed to move some of the debris more into the middle of the pool in the far edges of the shallow and deep ends but for the most part it sucked everything up, which included pine straw, leaves, grass and dirt/sand. My feelings for the unit turned from hate to pleasantly satisfied. I’m still concerned about the longevity of this thing but if I have one issue I’ll update my review. Pros Sucks up debris of most sizes. Doesn’t always get the pine straw. Cord is long enough for a 40 ft pool. Cleaner gets up the walls. Cons Cord does twist so you’ll need to straighten every now and then. It is heavy to get out of the water so if you’re not strong I would avoid. Would I recommend - Yes - It’s a solid 4

I just made the switch to NEO from a pump-driven Polaris 380. It does an excellent job of vacuuming up leaves and large grit, but it does not collect fine dirt/silt, which it blows out the top...only for it to settle to the bottom again. My pool is now cloudy. The 380 with a fine-mesh filter bag worked great. It does climb walls, but backs down in reverse after a few seconds...so never has a chance to scoot along and scrub the waterline (I've seen video of this same behavior and almost didn't buy because of it). For the same reason, it rarely gets onto steps. It gives up trying too soon, and backs down. This is an expensive product, which should work optimally. I have written to Polaris Support (no reply so far), and I will return it if necessary within my 30-day window!

No subió las paredes de azulejo (tile) de mi alberca (están en escuadra con el piso), y en el modo de limpieza de sólo piso, se quedó un minuto y medio tratando de subir las paredes, cada vez que llegaba a una, por lo que en hora y media que la estuve observando, perdió 33 minutos tratando de subir las paredes. Tampoco limpió todo el piso, tal vez porque perdió mucho tiempo tratando de subir las paredes (mi alberca es chica y rectangular, de 4 x 6 metros y un y medio de fondo)

unclear on order that it only works on 110 v which is no good in uk 240v very disappointed. I bought in anticipation for our new pool completion. months ago and now find unsuitable and waste of money and return date passed

It's not cleaning the entire pool, leaving large areas uncleaned and won't come up to the waterline at all. It just keep going back and forth on the same spot....really bad. No navigation at all. For the price range, I would expect it to at least come up to the waterline. NO! And it LOVES to tangle itself.

El robot NO cumple con la promesa de limpieza de una alberca. El trabajo previo de uso de floculante para precipitar toda la suciedad de hecha a perder, ya que el robot revuelve toda la suciedad previamente floculada (precipitada/asentada) en el piso, y puedes estar trabajando 5 horas y todo lo que hace es agitar el agua que vuelve a ser turbia. Por otra parte, el Robot tiene 2 opciones de trabajo, una que limpie solo el fondo (piso), u que limpie piso y paredes; la opción de limpieza de solo el piso NO se ejecuta ya que el robot aunque lo programes para piso solamente sigue intentando subir paredes... y esto lo hace nada practico ya que solamente es un CAOS para revolver la suciedad.
