Perfect smoke, soft but not sticky and no hot pepper. I don't due well with any pepper so this is perfect for me and possibly children if they need a snack without carbs or sugar.

This is update number three. I lost track of how many I have ordered now, maybe ten or so. I positively love this jerky. It has the best flavor it has nice thick pieces It just is hard to beat this recipe. I will be ordering two a week for a while. This update is 1 week after I bought the first two. I bought two more bags, same style. The second two tasted completely different 1 piece tasted sweet like sugar one piece tasted like chemicals the other tased ok. Every other piece tasted sweet as sugar I do not understand how these can be so different. The 1st two bags were delicious. How can sugar free taste like dipped in honey. This is soooo sweet This alone is the best out of about 12-15 different kinds of beef jerky. This jerky the texture the taste the freshness is by for the best I have had yet. Keep up the good work guys.

On the Carnivore diet. This is a great sugar free snack that works for me. Fresh, not too tough and tastes great!!

Tastes great! We love the texture, the flavor and the price! This is the first time we have bought Tillamook Country Smoker Jerky, but it won't be the last!

Too Spicy
I usually like Tillamook products because of the cleaner ingredients but this was disappointing. The jerky is a bit too chewy / fibrous and too spicy for me to be enjoyable. I read the ingredients and there's nothing that would indicate spiciness but they taste like they're loaded with black pepper. Perhaps the black pepper is hidden under "flavorings" - which I was disappointed to see but couldn't find a jerky without - but that would be strange considering they call out granulated garlic and salt. In any case this needs to be labeled "spicy" and the black pepper that's definitely there included in the ingredients.
