Couldn't say don't own this one. I've reviewed several swords I bought from this manufacturer though, and have had nothing but very positive experiences with them and their products. There must be a glitch in the review system. I can say however the katana I bought from them does have a real leather wrap, and the sword itself is superb for the price.

Way better than any sword I've ever purchased

This is possibly the highest quality item ive ever recieved off Amazon.
