Couldn't decide whether or not to purchase it as an e-book or the hardcover. I decided to get it as an e-book for my tablet. And I'm really glad that I did I was able to start reading it late at night. Ali's Pretty Little Lies takes you back to the very beginning, and provides you with the back story of twins Alison and Courtney. Courtney basically decides that she has had it with her sister and switches places with Ali, sending the real Alison to the mental institution. Courtney convinces her parents and her brother that she is Alison. Courtney cons 4 girls Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer; and creates a new circle of popular friends. Sara Shepard does an A-mazing job with this book. I recommend it to anyone who is a fan of the books and the series. You will be very pleased to find out what happens. Review: great! - This was a great read. I love finally knowing all that happened the night Ali died. I really enjoyed how this book humanized their Ali and I actually felt bad for her. You finally understand why she acted the way she did and see that the real Ali was always the evil twin. I also really liked how in the end of this book we see that the real Ali had an accomplice to help cover up her sister's murder, though we do not know who it is. Logic tells you that this person, who has been involved from the beginning, is at least one of the A's in the last few books, if not acting alone. The only problem I have with this book and the idea of the twins switching is fingerprints. Even identical twins have different fingerprints. Why would they not check their fingerprints before returning to the hospital? Especially in a case such as this? Though far-fetched, this book and the entire series are great reads.

Best PLL book yet
I really enjoyed reading this book from Ali's (Courtney's) perspective. I think it filled a lot of gaps from the other books and gave insight as to why she acted the way she did. It also showed that she was human, not as flawless as the other girls thought she was. Ali and Courtney are definitely the most interesting characters and this was my favorite book of the series. I hope she does another book from real Ali's perspective or just one that gives more info about the DiLaurentis family in general, as they are all interesting and have a lot of secrets.

Great book!
I have been reading the PLL series since I was a sophomore in HS and I am now a senior in college. I always pre-order on Amazon because the price is so much cheaper than buying at any franchise bookstore. I think they retail for around $20ish at B&N or BAM and on Amazon they are about $13, which is perfect. I am not going to go into any details regarding the book itself because I don't like spoilers, but the book is just as good as the others. I love Sara Shepard's PLL and TLG series and considering that there are so many, $13 is a much better deal than buying in any other bookstore. Great book and purchase. Amazon is my go to for books!

Interesting
It's very interesting to hear things from Ali's viewpoint, whether it's the real one or not. I kind of liked this, although I do not like Ali at all. She was manipulative and a sociopath. She only wanted friends so she could control them. So I didn't give this rating because I root for her or like her. The writing itself was good, and like I said it was interesting to hear things from her perspective on what happened. I do not like Ali, though and haven't really ever.

This book was an excellent read, and one of my favourite of the whole series. It is a prequel and is solely set in the lead up to Ali's death, and is narrated by Ali(who is really Courtney). This book does not give you much in continuing the story of Aria, Hanna, Emily or Spencer as it is about the past, but that did not bother me. In book 8 Ali's killer is finally revealed, with a huge twist, but there is not a lot of explanation in it. This book gives insight into the relationship between the twins, and Courtney's motives behind forcing the switch with the real Alison, and finally the lead up to her murder. This book is truly worth reading for Courtney's perspective on the events, and there are even a few hints about who else could be out for revenge against the pretty little liars.

El libro llegó en pésimas condiciones, con rayajos, un corte profundo en el lomo, suciedad incrustada en la portada, bordes machacados... no se puede ni regalar.
