When it comes to the smell of this you will either love it or hate it (as you will also notice from other peoples reviews) as for me I really like the smell and amazingly enough my dogs LOVE the smell. They went right for the bottle as soon as I had it out of the package and you could start to smell the scent. Since that response was so good I immediately put some in my diffuser (4 drops to max water) and it has permeated the rooms quite efficiently. Compared to some of the other oils this goes a long way. According to the modern essentials book I have it says the aromatic influence of this oil is....it may help to release negative memories and take a person back to peaceful, joyful moments. It can help with nervous tension and stress. It can help balance emotions and lift the spirit....and it can foster peace, well being and hope. In dogs I read an article on line that said it is gentle and safe. Its a good antifungal. good for skin irritations, fungal ear infections and effective in repelling ticks. I know we will be getting a lot of use out of this oil. I am glad I decided to buy it. I was also very happy with the prompt delivery of this product. Only a couple days! Wow! I love buying from amazon and the various companies that work with them to provide these products for us. Amazon is so convenient. Love it!

Great product

I know doTerra brand costs a boat-load more money than every other brand, but if you're ordering the oil for a purpose, the extra cost is worth it. The product is pure and effective. It's not a fragrance oil, but Geranium is pleasant, not medicinal. I buy it to mix my own flea/tick spray for the dog and my family. It's a simple mix of melaleuka, geranium, witch hazel and distilled water, which works great and is thoroughly non-toxic. I'll share it with anyone who's interested. For my dog, I spray my hand and rub that lightly on his fur. That dilutes it enough for the dog but keeps it effective. I do that only once a day for him unless we hike in the woods. Then I reapply before each hike. For humans, I spray quickly and lightly right on the skin and clothes. Doesn't stain. Strong fragrance which dissipates in a short time. I've used other brands of essential oils, but doTerra performs the best for me.

I bought this for hormone balance for which it worked beautifully but got a surprise with loss of water in the legs which nothing else even water pills had taken care of. A third benefit which is a little embarrassing to mention is that it stopped the bleeding and swelling of hemorrhoids formed after having 2 very large babies. Truly I was surprised. I rub 2 drops behind my knees 2 times a day for a week and there after used 2 drops once daily. Stopped for a week to see if it really was this oil doing all this and all my symptoms returned. So back using the oil and happy to have something natural that helps in so many ways. Oh I mixed a few drops in my face cream. This stuff really tightens the skin. Hit the gold mine in application usage. The smell is not awful but not beautiful either which is why I use it behind the knees and not on the wrists. Good luck on your purchase.

I'm a bit of a skeptic on this whole oil craze but my wife is always super happy with all the Doterra products so I suppose happy wife equals happy life.

Great item with a great price.

I had oral surgery which resulted in severe facial bruising. I read up on essential oils for this situation (after the surgery) and Geranium came up among others. Because of Amazon's fast shipping, I ordered it. I began using it immediately and results were incredible. My bruising was significant and deep purple (even makeup was futile) and it disappeared slowly but surely in 4 days! People around me were astounded. I have to say I don't love the scent, but it's bearable. It was gently on my skin and only the bruising reacted to the oil. I used it under my eye and lip and around one side of my mouth down my neck. I'm a believer in DoTerra Oils!

I tried this product at a friend's place last week. We added it to the cocktails we were making. Got it yesterday, made geranium madeleines and enjoyed some with a friend last night. This oil is the real thing! It is really strong, and one drop will go a long way. I have read a lot of conflicting information about internal use of essential oils, but have been "consuming" them for years mainly in food preparation. As long as you observe the ratio of no more than 1 drop per oz (and I use less), everything is fine. doTerra oils are very fluid, so they come out of the dropper VERY fast. Be prepared, and enjoy!
