I used on mandolin I was restoring and wasn't happy with. It was very dry so I than tried 3 time with Pledge furniture polish. That cleans, moisturizes and polishes. Each time got better and better. Than I went to Finger ease. It is a string and neck treatment and also moisturizes and polishes. 3 coats of that and I put new strings on it. My son got it free at a garage sale that didn't sale plus in very bad shape but, it was a kraftsman made in 1950 worth 1200$. Well worth some TLC.
