Great all-in-one charger/converter
We just returned from a couple of weeks in New Zealand, where we used this for the first time. It performed flawlessly. We really liked that it has several connecting options (2 plugs plus 4 USB ports), so each night we were able to plug in two phones, two tablets and occasionally a portable battery pack. It easily handled the voltage conversion and the load. The supplied cord was long enough to let us position the converter in a convenient location. The only issue (which could actually be a plus) is that its fan produces a low hum that could be distracting if you're too close. Then again, if you like white noise when you're sleeping this could be a benefit. Overall, we were really pleased with the product and felt like it was money well-spent.

Good device but be sure the output is sufficient for your application
I am updating my review as on reflection I was unfairly critical of the product. The product works. Although I did not directly verify this, I am confident that it performs to specification, unfortunately the output is simply lower than what I was looking for. If the 2A output on the AC plugs will meet your needs, I would in fact recommend this product. It is worth noting that the seller contacted me about my original two-star review and even offered me a refund despite being well past any return date (not to mention that I left the product in my hotel room). I declined the refund as I thought it would be unfair, but nonetheless am updating my comments (and rating) here to rate the actual product they were selling - rather than the product I had imagined/hoped they were selling. Based on my experience of the product (which was indeed quite well-designed and well-made) as well as the positive interaction with the seller, I would certainly buy something else from them. Original review: I should have read the specs. This unit actually can deliver greater amperage via USB than via the AC outlets. I thought when the listing referenced using this for hair dryers, it would be fine. Left it in the garbage in my hotel after first use. I am curious if the person who wrote this listing could point to a hair dryer which only uses two amps. (This was not my application in any case, since I don't use them and pretty much every hotel has them). I had hoped to use it with a clothes steamer, which I prefer over the also ever-present iron. Very disappointed, as the form factor was great and you can use your own cord with an IEC-320-C5 plug (and whatever end you need for your destination's plug configuration on the other end), which is preferrable to their provided adapters. The search continues.

Lots of ports to recharge multiple items at once. Sturdy construction.
Converter worked very well. We did not actually need the adapter plugs because the unit is already using the most common prong style used in Europe, but we brought them along anyway just in case. The handy carry bag was great as it allowed me to put USB and other cords into it as well as the Foval itself. Pros: So nice to have this many outlets and USB ports in one unit! My wife and I were able to charge everything at once. Sturdy. Very well-built and feels like it will last Cons: A bit heavy and bulky for those who may be backpacking, but not an issue for suitcase travelers. Loud fan. I turned it off some nights. However it charges quickly, so by the time I was out of the shower, the phone had enough charge on it. We started to charge before bed, or when we woke up and were getting ready. Plenty of time and the fan noise was not an issue. Countries traveled: Germany, Czech Republic, Poland. Length of trip and use of Foval: Three weeks. Items charged: Bluetooth earbuds, Iphone and Ipad- all at the same time.

Worked for 4 days-UPDATED to 4 Stars
I received an email from Foval offering me a full refund, even though the product was past the return/support date. I did not change to 5 stars because it did leave us with no way to charge our devices, however their customer service is exceptional. I would now recommend purchasing products from this company. I purchased this converter in Augst of 22 for my trip to Scotland in May 23, so when it failed it was past the return/support date. I am very unhappy with it. We arrived in Edinburgh on May 7, used the adapter to charge our smart watches. For the first 3 days it worked well. We travelled to Inverness on the 10th, returned to Edinburgh on the 11th, and used it that night. In the morning, when attempting to use it the green light came on then it made a buzzing noise and the red light came on and the chargers did not work. Tried leaving it unplugged for 30 minutes and turned it on again, still green light/buzzing/red light/no charging. I definitely do not recommend this converter if you want to be able to charge your items for your entire trip.

Short Circuit & Abrupt End-of-Life Upon First Use
I took this to India (wall power is 230V, 50 Hz; within item's specs). I used it successfully for about forty five minutes and then I reached down and pushed the round On/Off toggle button on the top of the unit and a pop, sparks and a poof of smoke indicated that the unit suddenly reached the end of its useful life. The event also tripped the breaker that this unit was operating on. I cannot explain why the item failed. The only device I was using was my Dell laptop computer and because the computer's battery was well charged and because I had shutdown the computer (but not unplugged it) just prior to hitting the power switch, I do not think that the unit was having to work hard to supply but just perhaps a small amount of power to the computer's battery when the short circuit occurred. I was not using this unit outside its stated specifications and because I had been operating it with my laptop for some time and had powered down the laptop just prior to hitting the shut-off switch, I can only imagine that some manufacturing flaw must have caused the short circuit to occur when I toggled the switch. I bought this well before my planned trip to India, The unit is now utside the Amazon return window. I now have to hassle with trying to negotiate a return to the Chinese manufacturer. UUuuuggGGG!

Ideal power for travelers
I bought this in anticipation of a trip to Cuba, where electrical power is both 110 and 220, depending on location. I had used old, heavy power converters in previous trips abroad, and was looking for a converter that was trim and practical. This filled the bill admirably. The fact that it also has USB ports is a big plus. Thus, while almost all electronics are 110/220 compatible, in Cuba you have to deal with limited outlets in hotel rooms and casa particulars (I had only one), so there is a genuine need for a multi-outlet adapter. I tried it out in the states first; no problems. No issues in Cuba either, although the incoming electricity doesn't have the same amperage (I believe) that we see in the states; therefore, it took much longer to top off my laptop, for example. But being able to use any outlet outweighed that and I kept DSLR camera batteries, cell, iPad, and laptop fully charged during my week in Havana and in the countryside. The unit is largely silent with a fan. It's hardly a problem and it keeps it cool. Bottom line is that this is an excellent device for travelers. It comes with all the requisite plug adapters. I put mine in a heavy, clear plastic zipper bag which makes it easy to see the contents. This is just as useful for domestic American travel as it is for foreign travel, so it goes with me on vacation and photo trips.

Great solution and value; 200 watts power for small electronic and appliance items
Preliminary notes... WATCH THE FOVAL VIDEO. IT'S A GREAT SUMMARY SOURCE OF INFORMATION: The unit is rated at 200 watts. (DISREGARD MY COMMENT IN MY VIDEO RE: 250 WATT CAPACITY) Most questions you'll have will be about figuring out what devices you can power from this converter so that you don't exceed the total of 200 watt output capacity. Even if you exceed the unit's power-output-rating, the unit has internal protectors which will prevent damage to the unit. Most important recommendation to anyone who isn't "tech saavy" and has questions about what devices can be used with this adapter; talk to someone who is. Most "electro-mechanical" devices like shavers and small table top fans consume under 75 watts. And most electronic devices have labels with power consumption on the power supplies or on the item itself. Most laptop and cellular phone power supplies are rated to operate from 110vac to 220vac. So you wouldn't need this converter. But, for instance, if you have your phone but no charger-power supply available, you'll be able to get power from the unit's four USB outlets. Just one of many great features of this device. About the multiple cooling fans inside the converter...... While I try never to dismiss someone's complaints... (all things in life are relative, right?)... Unless I heard wrong, based on the manufacturer's/distributor's video, there are multiple mini-fans within the converter. This is understandable given that this is a power-converter/power supply. I bring this up as there have been comments/complaints relating to the noise level of the converter. The unit I have does generate a very low-level fan noise, which I'd say is typical for a laptop computer cooling fan. I never felt it was at a bothersome level; only noticable when I focused on it. And frankly, it's one way of knowing you've left the unit in the "power-on" state. (there's an on-off button and a colorized usage light too). My thoughts are that whomever does have an issue with the low-level fan noise, may have an "out of specifications" unit, or they're applying unreasonable expectations for near-absolute silence. We're using this in our bedroom. And my wife is extremely sensitive to noise. She's never made mention of the cooling fan. And I left Vietnam with ringing in my ears that's been a constant companion for my entire adult life. So a little mini-cooling fan noise is the last item on my "priority list." Enough said. We've been in Brazil for the past three weeks of a one month trip, and have used the converter, primarily, to power a small table top fan, and to charge our phones and Ipad devices. It's been a perfect, compact, and easy-to-tote solution. For years, both we, US residents, and our family in Brazil, have resorted to "transformers", (rather heavy), when needing to "drop voltage (220vac to 110vac)" for the many US based appliances and devices we've brought, or were being used here. This is one of the items I've purchased on Amazon where I only have "POSITIVE COMMENTS." It's doing exactly what is needed. I'd certainly recommend this device to others.

All 4 adapters were NOT compatible for the country advertised
I specifically purchased this for my trip to Brazil. In the description it lists Brazil. Each adapter provided was not correct. Thank goodness my husband and I both brought our cordless chargers for our phones. However, we still could not use my hair straightener nor his hair buzzer for a touch up. We found a nearby mall, however it was Christmas Eve when we arrived and the mall was not opened until the day after Christmas. Needless to say, I was a little stressed out and concerned about charging our phones once the cordless chargers needed recharging. I discovered a charging station in the hotel finally. When we went to the mall we were able to find the correct adapter. Once having the adapter the device worked beautifully. I was able to use my hair straightener and my husband could use his buzzer to touch up his hair. I do like the fact that there is a surge protector on this device and an on/off switch as well. My husband thought that maybe different parts of Brazil used different outlets but I noticed that both airports we traveled through (Iguassu Falls and Sao Paolo) had the same outlets. Buyer beware. In the future I will ask someone from the hotel to send a picture of their plugs/outlets so that I can buy the appropriate one. Please note, you can also use the USB on the TV to charge your phone. Just turn the TV on to give it some power. My husband discovered this. If you are ever in a similar situation and desperate to charge your devices, that is another solution. Happy travels.
