Pioneer® Diamante Ultra 12,000 BTU Energy-Star 22 SEER Wi-Fi Ductless Mini-Split Inverter++ Air Conditioner Heat Pump Full Set with 16 Ft. Kit

I'm still not really sure what the technical differences are between the regular version and the "Diamante Ultra" but the Pioneer store says this is the newest version that was just recently released (purchased July 2022), so I got this one despite the lack of customer reviews for this specific model. The installation is quite a project, it took me almost a day and a half - but admittedly I was going slow and double-checking everything, every step of the way. Just coincidentally, the copper piping for the coolant was EXACTLY the length that I needed, one foot less and it would have been too short to reach the outdoor unit. I did get both the "Decorative PVC Slim Line Cover Kit" and the "KWIK-E-VAC Line Set Flushing Kit" ... and both turned out to be excellent add-ons. The PVC cover kit looks great (see pictures), and the Flushing kit was very easy to use for prepping the copper pipes - there's a QR code inside the box with a link to a YouTube video, I followed the instructions step by step and didn't have any problems at all (the alternative to the KWIK-E-VAC is to buy a $100 vacuum pump.) The unit is VERY quiet, especially the inside blower. The AC performance is excellent and cools the room down very quickly. I tested the heat function just to make sure hot air comes out, but won't have an opportunity to run it till winter. Any downsides? Nothing major. There are different versions of the mounting bracket that secures the inside unit to the wall - so the instructions did not have this exact configuration, which was a little confusing. And once I got to the point where I needed to attach the unit to the wall, I found out that I needed to ream out the hole where the pipes go through in order to get the pipe bundle at the right angle - otherwise the system wouldn't mount flat against the wall. Overall, the installation instructions were well written, thorough, and easy to follow, with only a few minor points that could have used a little more detail. Of course, I can't speak to the reliability yet - but it's running fine and seems to be well built. I will certainly post an update if I have any problems as we get more hours on it!

Has been working great for my bedroom. Running off battery bank and inverter. Max draw when first turned on is 1260 watts. Once it's maintaining temp it's about 500-700 during the day and about 120w-400w during the night depending on temp set. I run it mainly around 75°. Hope this helps someone out 🙂

I purchased this unit back in September of 2024. It got installed about a month ago. After Installation was completed it did not work. The technician called the company for technical support. After spending one hour on the phone they decided to send a part. After receiving the part and installing it, still did not work, very frustrating. We order another unit made by Daikin. The installer installed it and no problem working fine. Now Parker Davis the parent company of Pioneer Diamante says once the unit is installed it can not be returned. I don't know how a unit be known if it is working or defective without installation. I can not return to Amazon because it passed 30 days return window. PLEASE DO NOT BUY PIONEER PRODUCTS YOU WILL END UP LOSING A LOT OF MONEY. NOT JUST FOR THE PRODUCT ALSO LABOR. I WILL REACH OF TO FLORIDA CONSUMER AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT AND OTHER AGENCIES FOR HELP.

Decided to go with Pioneer's new Diamante Ultra mini-split ductless unit. Couldn't be happier with my purchase! The unit was put in to a separate bedroom that previously used baseboard electric heat and a portable air conditioner, so I expect to save on my electric bill both summer and winter. The mini-split was installed by a HVAC professional over two days, first the indoor unit (about 2+ hours) and the outdoor unit (also ~ 2 hours). Although I am a proficient home-owner DIYer, I do not think I could have handled the installation, as it is so specialized in the tools (FYI welding) and gauges (FYI pressure) required. Operation is super quiet, way less noise than I expected from both units. Can't speak to reliability yet, but hopeful this unit will be working great for many years to come. Jb in Calif.

I installed the unit which came with a WiFi USB dongle. There is absolutely no information in the manual on where to find the USB port or how to set up the WiFi. Pioneers website connected to the product support page for Amazon is all about stereos with no mention of mini split AC product lines. It seems like a great unit and is working well, but is obvious they give no support. I hear Senville products are well supported. I am now wondering if they are going out of business as how do you not have customer support.

Great cooling, quiet operation, efficient. Do not trust the manufacturer's flares! I lost a whole system's worth of coolant due to a pre-flared end. Just do the flaring yourself!

This was our families first heat pump. No relatives had one either so let the experiment begin. Install was easy and straight forward. We opted to buy a vac pump and gauge set due to if this works out I'm sure other family members will be asking for install help. This unit is nice but the app is trash and will not work. At 70 degrees f heating with a ambient temp of 28 the unit uses 800 watts of power constantly. we are sold on the idea and for function and will be installing more at a later date.

Buyer beware I bought the pioneer because of the brand name hoping not to have issues like I did with the cheaper brands. I bought 4 mini splits in the past two years for my properties and had them installed by a professional. I already have had to replace two of the outside units and now I’m waiting on a new outside unit to replace the last one I bought 8 months ago. They would only send me a replacement if I paid for the shipping which they say is almost $400. I could buy a new unit for that. Well I will never buy another pioneer they should stand behind their products better than this and I shouldn’t be having issues out of new units this soon!
