My son has worn the crap out of this bag!!! the shoe compartment he loves!!! it has all kinds of storage, it's a good size for what he needs, he literally takes it to the gym, for overnights, ALL the places! it's lasted for a couple years already!

SUPER SMALL thought I ordered a large good quality but dang it’s tiny

I bought this to be a gym bag which could also be used as a personal item when flying. Most USA domestic flights allow a small bag to be carried on regardless of ticket class, with these bags restricted to 16-18 inches in width. This bag is the one of the very few gym bags I could find which meets this criteria. Most "small" bags are 20 inches or more in length. The ones under this are generally in the 14 to 15 inch range which can work but are too small to pack a few days worth of items. This bag at just under 17 inches is a nice size. It is noticeably roomier than the 15 inch Nike Brasilia bag I was using. I appreciate the large inner wet pocket, the side shoe pocket, and the padded shoulder strap. The bag is not flimsy feeling like many of the generic bags I was looking at. The material feels solid. I don't anticipate straps or pockets ripping with this. There are a few things that stop this from being perfect though. The main zipper is a straight line, not the u-shape of the Nike Brasilia bags, which makes putting larger items into the bag challenging. The side shoe compartment is not ventilated which is an unfortunate oversight; most other bags I looked at have some means of airing out the contents in this space. Finally, I don't understand the point of having an outer pocket which is not zipped up or closeable like this bag has. Same with the inner pockets which are mesh pockets with no zippers or fasteners. Gym bags get tossed around. Any contents in unsecured pockets will fall out. I would have preferred to have an outer zippable pocket and then another interior zippable pocket instead of these open pouches. Overall I like this bag primarily for its dimensions, but will continue to be on the lookout for a bag which does not have the noted downsides. The Nike Brasilia series remain the best thought out bags I have encountered. I just wish they or someone would clone them in a 16 inch size.
