So happy! Have a couple other Homichef pans and a knife. Excellent quality and so beautiful. Last night steamed frozen corn with raw bok choy. Very quick and easy. Depending how long the steamer is on the heat, the handles may get hot so be careful and use pot holders I will use the steamer every day since I am a veggie lover. So far I have also steamed Swiss Chard, a portobello mushroom at the same time as fresh zucchini, fresh asparagus, frozen green beans, frozen pre-cooked shrimp to thaw, but I left them in the steamer too long and they became a bit chewy. Also the tails were too hot on my fingers to remove, so I dipped in cold water for a second. It was much better and quicker than putting the shrimp in a bowl with warm water. Maybe raw shrimp would work better. The strainer pot is large enough to spread out a few separste items and steam at the same time. Love this steamer. Can cook without worrying about a pot boiler over. It cuts down on having to wash multiple bowls and pots and veggies aren’t soggy from boiling. The 3 pieces are not heavy to lift. Easy to clean. I tried corn on the cob but it was taking too long so I dropped the cobs of corn into the lower pot of boiling water for a few minutes with some small potatoes. Very versatile cooking tool. The price is reasonable for 3-pieces of high quality cookware. Also it looks gorgeous on top of my stove!!

I was originally drawn to the HomiChef brand because it is higher quality stainless steel that is nickel free (21/0). However, after trying several of their products and being in touch with their customer service, I am a loyal customer. In addition to wonderful products, their customer service is phenomenal! This particular product was exactaly as stated and will be a valued part of my kitchen. I will probably use this steamer almost on a daily basis. It was easy to use, and I especially appreciate the fact that the pot that the steam basket goes on is so big. I have a big family and need to steam lots of vegetables at once, and this ensures that we won't run out of water/ steam before everything is cooked. Another bonus is the way that the steamer basket is separate from the pot and both can be used separately. In the pictures I'm attaching, the smaller pot is the one that comes with the set. However, I also included a picture showing that the steamer basket fits in larger pots as well. (The larger pot in the picture is a HomiChef 8 QT stock pot that I purchased in a set awhile back.) I can think of so many ways that this can be useful! It's also nice because in the purchase of a steamer, I also aquired a smaller pot that can be simply used as a pot. I also wanted to mention that I appreciate the design of the product. In the past, I have used the steamer baskets that fit all of the way down into the pot. In addition to holding less food, it is also awkward when pulling out the cooked vegetables. I burned myself more than once trying to pul the basket out of the pot. I apprecitate that this steamer basket sits on top of the pot rather than down in it. It makes it much easier to use (just pull it off of the top), holds more food, and, as I mentioned above, allows much more water to be held at the bottom to ensure that you don't run out of steam before everything is cooked thoroughly. I have already used this to steam vegetables and can't wait to try out the many other uses! Overall I am very pleased with this product. I highly recommend that anyone wanting a good quality steamer purchase this item.

It's the best option on the market for this money, amazing quality, I was doing a research so long but really glad I stopped at this option. Great to cook a diet food.

I like the versatility in size with the insert for steaming but find the pot that comes with it not that useful. It is very small and if used on it's own, does not have a lid that fits. It is very good weight and material but functionality is lacking for me. I bought a returned set at a discounted price so was worth it to me so I can use the insert with my stock pot. Otherwise, I would not pay full price for this.

I bought this set predominantly for the steamer insert. I love how the steamer will fit larger pots (everywhere else is mainly just selling the 16/18/20cm insert). Overall, it feels quite sturdy. Although the pot is on the small side, I was able to steam a whole duck with it without needing to refill.
