Great item, wish I had purchased one years ago! I have 3 big dogs, 1 is really nervous and hates his nails being touched, absolutely no issues in using this grinder so its a massive win for us!

Absolutely brilliant worked really well once you get the hang of it. my dog accepted it very quickly and now she just goes to sleep while I’m doing her toenails. wonderful no more Snaggy dew claws. I even tried it on my toenails just to see how it felt and it worked really well for them also.!

I think the product was great, but my dog, wasn't having any of it, she hates clippers, which is why I tried this, the product is great, but my dog still wasn't having any of it, I will keep trying, but as far as the product goes it is great, and fairly quiet too, easy to use if you haven't got my dog!

This is a very good quality nail trimming tool. It feels well made and sturdier than I expected for the price, with a solid grip and blades that look sharp enough to handle most dogs’ nails easily. Unfortunately our dog didn’t take to it. He’s very nervous by nature and, despite several attempts and plenty of positive reinforcement, we couldn’t get him comfortable with having his nails trimmed. That’s entirely down to him rather than the trimmer itself. The handle is comfortable to hold and gives good control, and the overall build quality is much better than I expected. We passed it on to a friend whose dog is much more relaxed, and it worked really well for them with no issues. Overall, it’s a well-made product and I’d recommend it for dogs that aren’t extremely nervous about nail clipping.

So easy and quick to use and have no problem as doggy happy with it. Best to let them get used to the sound first and then try - mine didn't bother. This is an up date - only lasted 2 and a half years with very minimal use then it wouldn't re-charge. Shame because it was easy to use.

Nail trims for my 10 year old Jack Russell are never fun. He doesn't like having his feet handled and I'm extremely nervous about accidentally cutting his nail too short, which is stressful for both of us; I can be hesitant about lining up the clipper and making the cut, so he starts to fidget and then I'm even more anxious. I tried a nail grinder a few years ago but I couldn't get near him with it due to the loud noise, which was on par with his sworn enemy, the hoover. I took a punt on this after seeing a video in the reviews, which showed that the grinder was surprisingly quiet. When it arrived, I was immediately impressed by the quality and sturdiness of it, and I appreciate that it comes with an optional guard cap, which acts as a guide for positioning the nail and stops any other part of the paw from accidentally coming into contact with the moving grinder. The most important factor for me was the noise level and I can assure you, this is as a quiet as you'll get. My husband distracted the dog with treats, I used the clipper to get rid of the bulk of the length and, to my shock, the dog didn't bat an eye when I started using the grinder. Going over it bit by bit meant I felt much more in control and his nails are now much shorter and smoother than I can normally achieve with the clipper alone. Overall, I'm really happy with the product and absolutely recommend it.

I have a Pug, the vet didn't tell me he needed to have them cut at his puppy appointments to keep the quicks short, so the nails are thick and long and the quicks are long, and impossible to see because they are black. He HATES having his feet touched. Anyone who tried to clip his nails left him bleeding, so I got a cheaper grinder from a different company. It took about an hour and a half for it to get all his nails back to the quick, and he was upset at the noise, the heat, having me hold his paw, lying on his side and his back... It was horrible having to do it once a week for so long. I bought this one based on reviews, and used it tonight, and it took 15 minutes to get them done. The noise didn't upset him as much, it grinds down super fast on the faster setting, so I was careful to stop when the quick appears. It didn't hear his nails up, either. Afterwards he got the zoomies he was so pleased, and got a big treat. This is honestly a game changer and a life saver, I can do this once a week and get his nails down to a comfortable size once the quicks retract. It's been breaking my heart seeing him uncomfortable with his nails, and then how much he hated the previous one, so thank you very much. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this grinder, it is so strong!

Does the job if a bit less effective than I had hoped, albeit my dog has extremely thick claws in fairness

It’s not too loud and after the 3rd use our miniature dachshund didn’t even pull his paws away or try to get away like he does with the clippers. His stress level is normally very high when it comes time to get his nails trimmed but this time when we used this file he was very relaxed. Even closed his eyes a few times. Highly recommend! It’s taking a bit of time for me to make sure I’m holding it on the right angle but it’s easy to use and is definitely working to shorten his nails. I would buy again!

My dog hates his nails being cut. At the vet they cut in his flesh and since then it is absolute drama. This nail sharpener is amazing. It is not super silent but the sound isn't disturbing. I got 3 nails at his front paws done after 5 minutes of letting him getting comfortable with it. Some light pressure is enough. Very very happy with it!!
