ECOHomes Heavy Duty Strips for Couch Cushions (4 Inch x 10 Feet, Black)

I hardly ever make time to post a review but this tape totally saved me! Two years ago, I picked out the perfect couch. It was fluffy, it had deep cushions and it was big enough for the whole family to sit on for movie nights. The ONLY downfall was every single time someone got up or changed positions on that couch, the cushions would slide outwards just a little bit. The last straw came about a month ago when I put a beautiful new couch cover on the couch and now I am constantly adjusting not only the couch cushions, but the new cover as well. Finally, I googled what could be done about couch cushions that wouldn’t stay where they belong and found this tape. I sincerely wish I would have made that google search 20 months ago. This tape was so simple to use, the sticky on the back is beyond words, and I have officially had it on my couch for 2 weeks and have yet to move a single cushion. Stop thinking about getting this to solve all your movable cushion needs and just buy it already. My two kids (9 & 6) and I had this tape measured, cut and applied to the cushions in about 15 minutes. It’s super easy and such a great fix to an annoying problem.

Couch cushions kept slipping forward so I ordered this to help. My couch has overlaid upper cushions so I had to finagle them into position before putting down the strips of hook/loop. I placed the hook side on the cushions so if I removed them, the couch would have the soft side. The adhesive is very strong, even on fabric. I adhered the strips on the cushions, attached the hooks and loops together and then once in place on the couch, I reached under to remove the adhesive cover strip. Some of it was harder to pull than others based on location and in one instance, my fingernails touched the sticky adhesive in the process. While I could get my skin off it, my gel nail polish didn’t all come with! That’s some strong stuff! Needless to say, my cushions haven’t moved! I find that it helps to push with your fingers when separating the cushion side from the couch, the adhesive is strong and so is the hook and loop. I’m trying to find other uses for this stuff out in the garage or something where the adhesive wouldn’t destroy it if I wanted to remove/move it without using a heat gun or something. It’s strong!

These were definitely nice, and they got the job done. But I wish it came with more. I definitely needed more.

Works exactly the way I needed it too! It feels very stuck on there so I don’t know how easy removal is but I mean, why would you really need to? lol

I'm very torn about this product because it has helped on the side cushions of my sofa, but not the center cushion. I bought the 4x4" x 10' size for my 96" sofa and there wasn't quite enough to do long strips like they show in the pictures on the top and bottom of each of my 3 cushions and I didn't realize that ahead of time (probably my fault) so my least used side cushion only has one strip on the front side. My center cushion has strips on both the top and bottom, but it still slips constantly so I'm regularly having to remove the cushion and adjust it, and when I do this I have to be very careful or both sides of the grip tape will pull off. I found the application to be somewhat difficult for one person. Overall, this has reduced my overall frustration with my sofa, but I can't figure out why the center cushion is struggling to stay put and really wish it had fixed that one as well. The price wasn't bad so I think it's worth a try for anyone who struggles with slipping cushions. Update: I don't have any changes to my above review, but wanted to add that the seller, ECOHOMES-INT, provided wonderful customer service when they saw my review. They contacted me to offer a refund and were very kind and quick to process said refund.

You read that right. . . . a $13k couch! When we built our home in 2018 we had to give up our Restoration Hardware couch that we had for the past 15 years because it was too big. So we went to RH to find a couch that would work and my wife fell in love with their Cloud Collection. Unfortunately for me/us, it, at the time, was the most expensive couch that they sold. We purchased one and 5 months later it was delivered. Loved it, it was comfortable, stylish, and fit our home perfectly. Unfortunately, the cushions kept sliding off and the cheap tie downs they had that were supposed to keep this from happening were worthless! I called RH and, to their credit, they built us a new couch to replace it and promised this wouldn't occur again. Well it did! It's a design flaw. Not wanting to get rid of the couch, I started looking into DIY fixes and came across this tape. It arrived quickly and my wife and I were able to apply it easily and quickly. It holds the cushions in place PERFECTLY. Do I think that it will last forever, no, I don't. Does this bother me? No, it doesn't! I will happily purchase it again. It's been several months now on a couch that gets a lot of use, and it's still going strong!

Maybe it's because I'm used to generic "hook and loop fastener" from like, the Dollar Tree, but this stuff is so intense that using it feels a little like using Super Glue when you're a kid and normally only use Elmer's glue. It's like, oooh be careful! Don't touch it, you'll DiE. The only issue I encountered wasn't really with the Velcro itself, it was that I was trying to attach cushions under my couch seat. Just by their nature, it's difficult to make the area under an old couch seat completely free of dust or debris. I vacuumed several times, brushed it down with a boars hair brush, wiped it with a "swiffer dry mop style" sheet, used a used several strips of a lint roller, and then used one of those sticky goop "reusable lint roller" things. Then I put the Velcro down. I sat on it and jumped around and wiggled and tried to make sure it was sufficiently attached. And then I gave it a tug. The hook and loops are basically glued together. However, the adhesive holding the strips the the couch was weaker, because of dust. These would work great on a brand new piece of furniture or a surface you could properly wipe down. They're easy to install and very high quality. Just make sure you prepare.

I highly recommend these. I had some cushions that were continuously coming off of chairs. I put this on and they have not moved once. High-quality super strengths and very easy to use.

I bought a new couch and had nothing but problems with the cushion sliding forward all the time, every day I had to put them back in place before I sat back on them, sometimes three or four times a day. But these Valco strips are awesome you need to make sure you line them up properly with the cushion and the couch, the more I sit on them now the least they move. The price was good enough for me as it got rid of a big headache. I would definitely buy this product again one of the best investments I’ve made for a long time. Even when the kids are sitting on them and jumping on them, the cushion still stay in place, be careful of the glue on the back as if they stick to each other you’ll never get them apart, very quickly to install, just cut them to size. Make sure you get them in the right spots for the cushion and the couch and then put them down and never worry about it again. Delivery was exceptionally fast, Two days. If you want to remove the cushions for cleaning underneath, you’ll need to stick your hand in between the Velcro strips to pry them loose as to make sure that the glue doesn’t come apart from where they’re fasten to, take your time to slowly take the cushion off while sliding your hand between the two Velcro strips to get them apart as to not rip them from the couch, where they’re glued to then you can clean the couch and just make sure the cushions are put back into the proper places and put them back down and they’re back to holding them in place again. I would definitely recommend this product if you have any cushions that keep sliding forward on your couch.

Having applied these straps lengthwise, my cushions have not slid over the past few years. Therefore, this product is almost flawless. The adhesive is very strong between straps but can easily be detached from the cushion, if desired.

Got these to keep the sofa cushions in place, they’re alright, they do keep them in place for more than 3 days which is much better than before.

Did not keep the cushions on did not work at all

Worked great. Cushions haven't moved in the six months since we used the product. Easy to use and enough tape for a medium sized sectional.
