Is it quiet or can you hear it when its working?

I've just had to return two units of the Air Doctor purchased directly from the manufacturer because the unit is not quiet as stated.  In the lowest setting, it's still quite noisy, that I couldn't sleep.  Returned the next day, and since purchasing from the manufacturer, had to pay for shipping back.  All in all, paid almost $200 in shipping, once to receive and once to return.  I think the unit will clean the air though.  Not as quiet as our Coway Airmega 400 and 300, Ecospshere, Blueair 211, and Alen Breathsmart.

Can it remove radon?

I have had my air doctor for about 1.5-2 years and it has yet to give me the sign to change filters, will it do this?

How long the filters last depends on a couple of different factors. Specifically, the quality of the air in your home AND how many hours per day you operate your unit. Based on the air quality in the average home in the United States and Canada and 24/7 operation, the Gas Trap VOC filter should last 6 months and the Ultra HEPA filter should last a full 12 months before they need to be replaced.

If you operate your AirDoctor for only 12 hours per day, then the Gas Trap VOC filter should last 1 year and the Ultra HEPA filter should last a full 2 years before they need to be replaced (in homes with average air quality). We recommend that you leave your AirDoctor set to Auto, which will allow your device to adjust automatically, based on the filtering needs inside your home.

There is also a pre-filter (attached to the VOC filter), which can be easily vacuumed to remove the larger contaminants like dust and hair. With proper care and under normal operating conditions, this filter should not need to be replaced. When you see dust on the pre-filter you can vacuum it and continue to use it. For optimal performance, we recommend that you clean the pre-filter every 1-2 months.

AirDoctor will automatically alert you when it's time to replace each of the two filters mentioned above.

How many years is the warranty?

Air Doctor comes with a one-year limited warranty. Filters are consumables and are not covered under this warranty.
