Great - easy to use
Have used multiple times now and very happy . Bought on deal so good value for money. Comes with paddle and carrying case which is great. Works well once you know what to do, you have to let the stone get to the right temperature then cooks perfect. Very happy.

Can make fantastic pizza...with some practice.
Ok, these pizza ovens do make better pizza than a regular oven, it will take a few tries to really start to get it right. Even just keeping the fire burning has a little knack to it (instructions were rubbish for this info but they have a YouTube video that makes it clearer) , so you're not letting it die down & you don't smother it either. The internal pizza stone doesn't clean up too well. Spill cheese or whatever on it & you'll have a reminder for as long as you keep it...good or bad move that the stone is white...hmmm.... Build, could be improved, there's little traces of rust appearing on it, despite it being largely stainless steel, but the black painted roof/hood could be the culprit. It's riveted on. It does manage to change shape a fraction as it gets warm. Heat it & the door of mine ever so slightly gets pushed out at the bottom & won't go back until it cools. It's definitely more of a faff than using a regular oven, but this makes better pizza than a regular oven....you also can't really take your regular oven outside, into the sunshine. It's certainly quite a bit cheaper than the likes of an Ooni, but I'd say the Ooni's are slightly better made. I guess that's the slight trade off. Not sure I can get this up to the 500°C that cooks a pizza in 60 seconds, but I can knock one out in about 3 minutes & it does taste great. Get some friends round, get some pizzas going & you won't fail to impress them.

Perfect Pizza FAST and easy
Very impressed with the Salter Pizza Oven. Its super simple to set up in less than 10mins out of the box and comes with everything you need to cook pizza including a Pizza Paddle. The oven is suitable for Pizza up to 12”. I already ordered a sack of wood pellets ready for Pizza Sunday and after popping them into the oven and lighting, it was up to 400° in 5mins which is impressive. We had already made our homemade Pizza’s and had them all ready to go. Each 12” Pizza took 60 secs to cook perfectly, you do need to rotate your pizza after 30secs so as the heat from the back is much hotter. After just a few minutes we had 4 hot perfectly cooked Pizza’s on the table ready to go. Cleaning the Oven was quick and easy and you can empty the wood pellet box and ash. The set also comes with a carry bag to store the pizza oven away without having to take it all apart making it easier to get out next time. If you love Pizza or just eating outside in the Garden then this is a perfect addition, its quick easy to use and makes perfect Pizza every time. It’s also amazing value. Thank you for reading my review, I hope you found it helpful.

Doesn’t get to temperature
I purchased this item based on the one review available and the fact it appeared to be a bargain at £99.99 compared to the more popular brands like ooni at £200+ On the first try using some pellets recommended by Amazon as a bundle the oven would not go above 250 degrees despite following the instructions and continually feeding the hopper. On the plus side we did get some nice pizza’s but took up to 5 minutes to cook, and therefore not quite the same as the super hot ovens which gives a very different result. I also cooked a steak in a cast iron skillet and it was more broiled than baked. I have ordered different better quality pellets to see if this was the issue, however after reading some new reviews where other purchasers have bought the ooni hardwood pellets I’m not holding out much hope. Update— Now tried with other pellets, it’s much improved, getting to higher temperature, however still just under 300 degrees so pizza and steak in a cast iron skillet cook but not in the claimed times etc. so for ab oven that cost £99 it’s ok however with hindsight I would have bought the more expensive ooni

Great oven but needs some practice
A great little oven, first time we used it was a bit of a disaster, couldn’t get it up to heat. I found a little cheat online which is to point a battery powered fan towards the fire box. Worked a charm, gets up to temperature quickly and holds it when opening the door.

Big disappointment
Biggest disappointment ever, doesn't get nearly hot enough, dough sticks to pizza spade then sticks to the stone, burns the back, doesn't cook all the way through, took one hour to heat and 39 mins to try and cook, was raw in the middle, ended up putting them in the oven in the kitchen, dosent stay hot either, completely rubbish

Fantastic!!
So I was bought this by my lass and after reading the reviews I was worried about getting a soggy bottom and not cooking properly. After using it first time I must say it was awesome!! We followed the instructions plus gave extra time to get to temperature, made our own dough, which wasn't too thick, and the pizzas we spot on!! Very happy with this

Nice looking but doesn’t seem to get hot enough
This is apparently the first non paid/freebie review so here goes. Paid £99.99. Initial impression - nice looking. Comes with a carry cover which looks good. There was obviously a last minute change in configuration because the instructions refer to securing bolts with nuts but the oven has nuts welded in place. This made set up a little confusing and there was a loose bit of paper with a better picture to illustrate how some bits went together. It feels a bit rushed however and i note it hasn’t been on Amazon that long. I was looking forward to trying it but despite having used an Ooni, i couldn’t get this oven hot enough and since this initial review, others have said the same. Initially i thought it was the pellets so i used the official ooni ones. The only comments saying they've done OK seem to use softwood pellets but care needs to be taken with these because of Soot etc. The fact is that with the recommended pellets, this oven doesn't work. Having looked at the Ooni and compared it to this Oven, I believe it’s the pellet hopper at fault. These ovens work on the basis that pellets burn and air gets pulled through the oven to the front where the pizza is. The flame over the pizza crisps it and then leaves via the chimney. Unfortunately, the Salter oven only has a grille in the hopper that is "perforated" half way so little ash gets through and it gets clogged easily. Airflow is not good enough to pull the flames through to the pizza cooking area, it frequently goes out and so the pizza stone doesn’t seem to get hot enough. The ooni i used before took 60 seconds per pizza. This one ranged from five to twelve minutes to cook a pizza and even then, the top was nicely crisped but the base was raw and doughy. The claims made seem very wide of the mark and in my view, misleading. It wasn’t even a preheating issue since even after allowing 20 minutes and cooking four Pizzas, it still didn’t do the bottom properly. So far, I’m disappointed. EDIT second time around i was able to get the fire more or less constant by continuously feeding small amounts of pellets, i also preheated for over double the recommended time to try and get the stone hot enough. A much better result on the pizzas but it still took a few minutes to cook each pizza and by the third, the hopper was clogging again. Certainly nowhere near the 60 seconds claimed or that the ooni managed. I guess you get what you pay for. EDIT EDIT - As the oven was so much cheaper than an Ooni, I decided not to return this and instead adapt it. I drilled further holes in the pellet hopper grille so that it resembles the Ooni hopper. The result was no clogging, better through draft and more intense heat. The pizza stone got hotter so I was able to cook balanced pizzas without a soggy bottom. Still nowhere near 60 seconds as advertised, but at least they were cooked and tasty. Clearly this product is badly designed and I've actually contacted Salter to point this out. In my view, it's not fit for purpose without the adaptation I've done and with anything but the best pellets so I'm disappointed. Only 2 out of 5 as a result. It would have been 1 if the adaptation hadn't addressed some of the issues.
