Q: Why is it not appropriate for people over 64?

Probably because it causes drowsiness which can be worse for people as they age and because it can cause or exasperate depression, which can also be worse as people age. Another one of the many side effects is retaining water which is hard on heart, lungs and kidneys again, worse as we age. I was going to try this but nah too many bad side effects.
