Excellent product for fine tuning.
I always feel a little trepidation ordering a product nobody has reviewed, but for the price, I thought I'd give it a punt. On arrival I removed the puck screen from its case and was surprised by the weight and solid feeling of the device. Seemed of a high quality and slightly thicker than I expected. I gave it a rinse and tried it with my post millennium Pavoni. First things first, it affected the temperature. It's a reasonable chunk of metal in the group head so it took the overall temperature down quickly. I also felt there was a slightly metallic taste to the first few shots. However, I did notice I was getting lots of lovely crema and a balanced flavour. From using it a few days now, I pop it in my espresso cup with some hot water to preheat both puck screen and cup. This solves the problem of thermal exchange without having to pull a second shot. I'm having to tamp a little harder as it seems to allow the water through a bit quicker although it's supposed to allow you to presoak the coffee longer in the group head. Perhaps some more variation is required to find the correct combination. It's far more forgiving if you wish to pull a second shot as it cuts down on portafilter sneeze. The ejected pucks are perfect. It solves any channelling issues and the metallic flavour has gone. I'm really pleased with the device. For those that know the Pavoni, even when you're very used to the whole process, there can easily still be variation. This screen seems to pull the finesse back a little and you don't have to be quite as precious with preparation. I feel I still have to work out the grind setting and tamp pressure as the goal posts have changed, but the coffees I'm getting are beautifully creamy and delicious.

Great tool
Great, works perfectly with my Bambino plus, reduces gunk going into the group head.

Does the job but a little bit too big for my Sage portafilter
It arrived with the handy round box broken but the puck screen itself was fine. I got the right size for my Sage Bambino Plus but I found it a little bit too big and it sometimes gets stuck at a diagonal. It does keep the group head cleaner than it usually does. For the price it’s fine but I don’t find myself using it as much as I thought because of the size it’s a bit too fiddly

Screen
Works well. A little thicker than screens I've used before.

Really good, definitely improves the shot
I have the Ninja Lux Cafe machine and it definitely makes a difference to making a coffee. With the puck the grind is a nice compact hard puck, without it, I get channeling and the grounds are wet. I think that has an impact on the taste of the shot too. Would buy again and definitely would recommend- the only thing is sometimes I forget to put it in and the coffee slushy as good, almost makes me want to pour it out and do it again, so that’s how good it is.

Great item
Great little item that keeps the coffee in the puck from getting into the shower head area keeping everything clean & tidy. I don't like brewing without one.

Does not work with Sage Oracle.
There's nothing wrong with the product but it's really thick and my portafilter won't lock into place with this inserted. I have a Sage Oracle which auto doses and tamps and obviously fills to the max. In order for this to work as intended, you will need to dose 18 grams into a 21 gram basket to leave enough room for the puck screen. I estimate the screen takes up 15% of the basket's capacity.
