I've had a history of poor brushing habits in my youth and now that I'm old(er) I've significantly improved in that area. One thing that has helped significantly is the water flosser. I began with the traditional plug in systems but later discovered the Panasonic hand held which was portable. It was very good and lasted for years but the down side was replacing batteries or using a variety of rechargable batteries. After it finally died, I began looking at rechargeable portable water flossers and long story short, the AAU Smart Oral Irrigator is tops!! It's hand held, but has an easy fill and comparably large reservoir to give 40 or so seconds on the normal power mode. There are 5 modes I believe, but it will remember the last mode you used which is very convenient. I assumed I would need to highest setting but so far Normal is working fine which has never been the case with any other portable flosser I had tried. It comes with a usb-c power cable (you provide the normal usb power brick) so charging is easy. Overall I really don't have anything negative to say. I love it and hope other manufacturers learn some lessons from this unit!!

What I love... the affordability of this irrigator, the convenience of cordless, its five varying power modes, it's rechargeable - no batteries needed, and the generously sized water tank holds a little more than one and a third cups. The standard tip and the periodontal tip are just fabulous! You can perform a very gentle water flossing to quite a powerful water flossing. You'll never return to string flossing, and if you do the research... flossing with water is so much more effective than flossing with string. Although there is a bit of a learning curve with using this irrigator, once you get the knack of using it... using it is really enjoyable. I actually look forward to my time of water flossing. All I have left to say is... AAU oughta get one of these oral irrigators for yourself!

I broke my old water flossed so I bought this new one. I'm so glad I purchased this one!! It does a much better job cleaning and the "strong" mode is my preference on this flosser. It has a cool design and easy to use. I just plug it and charge it and it's ready to go! PLUS it has a flap on the back of the device which covers the place where the cord is charged. On my old flosser it got water in it and then became unusable. PLUS PLUS I can wait to take this out of town on vacation to see how portable and easy it travels. 5 STARS FOR ME🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

**Update 5/4/2023: The company reached out to me and gave me a re-fund on the product. Updated my review to 4 stars for customer care, not product quality (see below). I still think the product would only be suitable as travel flosser because it is small and battery operated, but not good for everyday use. Bought this flosser last August and have used it daily since then. It was great up until now. Not spectacular, but got the job done. But, you get what you pay for and now it stopped charging so it is useless. I've tried the cord that came with it and three others I had at home, and different outlets. So it is the product, not anything else. This product will get you by for a bit, but it will likely eventually break on you for how cheap it is. I expected that! It was my first time water flossing and I didn't want to spent a bunch of money on a good one until I tried it so I could figure out what features I would actually want. I would suggest only purchasing item if it is just for travel and you won't be using it much or if, like me, you want to test out a cheap model before investing in one that's better quality. Otherwise you'll just be throwing your money away constantly buying cheap products every time it breaks and paying more in the long run.

When the battery died on my AAU water flosser it was quickly replaced by the company as soon as they were informed. I was impressed by the fast response of their customer service.. I have used a water flosser for years and this does an excellent job at a great price. It has several settings as well. I would certainly recommend the AAU water flosser to anyone that wants to take the best care of their teeth and gums. Jo Phelps

Not watertight. I didn't expect it to be waterproof, but flossing this way can be messy sometimes. It worked for a really long time, but one day, it stopped charging, and while examining it to see what may be wrong, I thought I heard water inside. I disassembled it, and water flooded out. (I didn't think I'd been that chaotic, but I guess I was wrong LOL.) Putting it into a fine mesh laundry bag in rice dried it out, but it never worked again. It's a bummer - an appliance that is designed to handle water should have better seals. I'd imagine that this is the reason there are people who've had theirs stop charging.

I tried other water flossers, including the non-portable with large water containers, and this one feels more efficient. The container size is more than enough for one use, and I love the USB charger that makes it easy to travel abroad without compatibility problems. I love the fact you don't need to waste regular dental floss, so it is better for the environment and, best of all, it keeps the teeth very clean. My dentist congratulated my dental hygiene on my last visit.

I had planned on picking up a more name brand product than this but when I saw the reviews and the price compared to the competition, I figured I'd give it a shot. Besides, if we didn't like it, it's amazon. Id just send it back. Well, thats not going to happen. This thing claims to have more power than said competition unit, and I completely believe it. This was actually for my daughter who just got braces, but it worked so well that I got one for myself. After using it, especially behind my lower teeth, it felt like I just went and had my teeth cleaned. I cannot believe how effective this thing is. Nor can my wife and daughter. Money will spent.

Great bit of kit - looks and feels a lot more expensive than the cost. Classy design with a good selection of power levels. Love the fact that each power level is backlit/illuminated - making it really easy to see the selections. A couple of minor issues: the door to fill it with water is a little fiddly to open and the ball sits on the bottom rather than swing around (see image). This means that it doesn't fully empty when the water level is low and the unit's tilted. It seems the piping is a bit too long but I suspect it could be fairly easily trimmed. This unit is far superior to the previous flosser I bought on Amazon, which was around the same price. I've only had this one a few weeks but am very happy with it thus far.
