You can never go wrong with grandpas tar soap. I also use it on my black show dog and her hair is exceptionally soft and gorgeous. I get compliments all of the time on our walks. I use it on my hair, followed by any conditioner and it just glistens, granted I couple it with a cold final rinse. Dog never has any derm issues. I use this on another dog that has derm issues and cleared them right up. Granted, I also changed his diet to exclude any beef allergens.

This a good quality product, and has an aroma that you'll never confuse with anything else, and you pay a hefty price for that quality. I have found that Kirk's Natural soap is equally as good in quality and function, at a much better price. If Grandpa's was priced along the same lines as Kirk's, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase more, but as pricey as it is, my first batch will be my only one, unfortunately.

I love this soap. I use it on my whole body - including my face. I have very dry skin and it does not dry out my skin, yet really cleans. I highly recommend this soap.

This stuff is outstanding. Use it for soap, shampoo, whatever. Could probably wash your clothes with it! Go camping and traveling a lot and this is the only thing I take as far as soap or shampoo. Cleans like nothing else!

The bigger bar is nice; however, I think the batch I received was old or lacking some ingredient because the pine tar scent is not as strong. Great soap even for women!
