This product has made a difference in my dog's coat. He still sheds seasonally but he got sick and his hair thinned. It's now beautiful and thick.

I can't express enough the dramatic improvement we saw in our golden retriever after giving her this salmon oil with her food. She was suffering from terrible summer skin allergies: flaky and itchy skin, dull and oily coat, shedding like crazy. She would also start to stink within hours of her bath. All the scratching resulted in scabby sores. We finally brought her to the vet, who gave her an allergy shot and week's worth of antibiotic. In addition to the medicine, we started her on this salmon oil, figuring it couldn't hurt. We've been giving her this salmon oil with her breakfast and dinner for about a month now, and the difference in her skin is like night and day. Her coat is noticeably softer and shinier. She's been significantly less itchy with no flaky skin. She's barely started to smell when it's time for her next bath. Most importantly, you can tell that she feels so much better. While I'm sure the medicine had something to do with her improvement, that was over after the first week, so I strongly believe the salmon oil played a big role. I made sure to scour the reviews on Amazon before settling on this product because I'm obviously not going to give my fur baby anything but the best. Things I've learned after reading the reviews: 1) Start introducing the salmon oil into your pet's diet slowly. Some of the reviewers said that their pets experienced stomach issues from the oil. We started with 1/2 tsp. per meal gradually increasing the dosage, and our golden never had any stomach issues. We also never had any trouble getting her to eat her food with the salmon oil on it, but she's never been very picky about what she eats. 2) Don't use the oil if it has an unbearably strong odor. I think a seller response to one of the reviews stated that the oil is only supposed to have a light fishy odor. A lot of the reviewers that reported a super strong odor also reported that their pets had stomach issues. 3) Some reviewers complained about the pump leaking oil everywhere, so we just don't use the pump, which hasn't been terribly inconvenient. I'm so, so happy that we took a chance on this salmon oil because the results have been nothing short of miraculous. I was desperately trying to avoid giving our golden steroids on a regular basis during allergy season, and this oil was our answer. While it may not work for every pet's allergy symptoms, I cannot deny the effects it has had for my golden's skin issues. Hope this helps!

My dog loves the taste of this and... it helps him stop itching! I have a goldendoodle that has allergies and this helps him a ton. I had run out and was moving so I didn't have it to give him for about a month. It was very noticeable how much he started itching - reordered it about a week ago and all is back to normal. I only use 2 pumps a day which is less than recommended for him (80lb pup) as I would worry about him having too much oil if you know what I mean.

My dogs and cats love this stuff!! Easy to pour. Their coat is beautiful and shiny.. less itchy. This is my second second bottle. I ordered the smaller size to have my pets try it. They loved it! Seen the benefits after a week on their coat and how happy they are! Had to re-order a bigger bottle.

I have three German Shepherds and their coats have never been smoother, soft and so shiny. I had someone give us a different brand to try and went right back to this one. Could not be happier.

First, the lid leaks and the pump didn’t work. Then after first use, the cap broke. I might have ignored these things if my dog loved it. I think I used it 4 times when my dog love it. After that, she wouldn’t eat her food. I really didn’t understand this since I’ve seen great reviews on the product. So I was really disappointed. It’s unfortunate; but I hope others have greater success with it.

My dogs love the taste and I love the ingredients it contains. A very healthy product made locally here in Saskatchewan. I think I'm feeding it a bit too often, but I've seen an improvement in their skin and coat, and their arthritis doesn't bother them as badly as it was. Bonus - my picky eater no longer 'picks' at her food when it's topped with this oil. It seems to work synergistically with other supplements as well. This purchase was our trial run, but I'll definitely be buying more in the future, when the bottle runs low. PS the bigger the bottle, the more you save, and it keeps really well and lasts a long time. Great for cats too! Eventually I'll also add it to my regular Amazon Subscriptions to save a bit more. It's definitely pricey, but well worth using, especially if you have senior dogs or dogs with skin issues. Fast delivery too! 5 stars from my dogs and me!

Purchased this for my 4 month old British Longhair kitten and he seems to LOVE it!😻 He tends to take a pause in between eating but ever since I added this in his wet food, he finishes his food at one go, where he would then lick the plate for the salmon oil! I can’t tell how it works on my kitten fur yet as it’s still early days but the person whom I got the kitten from did fed him salmon oil (different brand) and the kitten fur is indeed soft and healthy. This is the reason I decided get him salmon oil. The item arrived all the way from the US intact. Bottle has a seal so that prevented the leak. The bottle also came in sealed plastic packaging - in case it still leaks, at least it won’t make a whole mess in the the delivery box. The pump works well for me so far; no dripping issue. The salmon oil colour looks good and smell fine; fishy as I expect a salmon oil would be (but not at all overly strong). Very pleased with this purchase so will be getting the big bottle next time.

My groomer recommended Salmon Oil with my dogs feedings for dry skin / dull coat. I bought this product and started using it daily on my dogs food, hoping it would make an improvement in her coat / skin. I took my dog back to the groomer 4 weeks later, and my groomer could not believe the difference in her coat / skin in just 4 weeks. Her coat is now silky and shiny, and her skin significantly improved - “she has the best coat / skin conditions I’ve seen in a while”. Safe to say, this product is amazing and made noticeable improvements in my dogs skin / coat. Not to mention, she LOVES the flavour and waits for the oil topper to start eating every time. Thank you for this product! Just ordered the larger sized bottle. :)

My black labs fur was always a little bit coarse. He also has a lot of food allergies including protein. Sounds crazy but he is a vegetarian dog. I thought fish oil would not be good for him due to his allergies, but after talking to the vet they suggested fish oils as they're not considered a protein. We tried this salmon oil for dogs and it has been incredible! As they suggested we started out slow, only giving a little bit each day and slowly increasing. Not only as his skin improved and stopped being itchy, his fur is so much softer. His ears were always yeasty and I haven't had to clean them in 2 weeks and I think it's all because of this oil. I cannot recommend this enough to people who have pets who have food allergies or coarse fur! Excellent product. Only thing is the pump didn't work and the bottle leaks when I pour it. But I just wipe around the lid and it's all good. Also is 100% Canadian which I love!

Wonderful addition to my dogs diet. I've seen a significant change in the softness of her coat and better digestion of her food. Unfortunately the 15% price increase on Subscribe and save had me looking for a cheaper alternative — only to find the same bottle for the original price had I not used sub and save. Just a fyi.
