Diluted boric acid has been used for centuries as eye care, and it's something that early medicine got right. It is a cleansing antiseptic/antibacterial/antifungal that quickly reduces itchiness and inflammation, and it is as safe for dogs as it is for humans. (Or maybe even more, because I don't know if dogs are ever allergic to boric acid, as humans rarely are.) That said, you should not ignore your dog's eye problems just because you have this wonderful product. But if you're waiting to take them to the vet or the signs are pointing towards dirt and debris instead of infection, this is wonderful to make the wait more comfortable for your pet. Just do not use for at least 24 hours before you see the vet so that she can make an accurate assessment. This product is excellent for rinsing out dirt/dust, moisturizing dry eyes (not chronic--see your vet), or treating allergy symptoms, of course! It calms itching, redness, decreases/eliminates runny eyes depending on the cause, makes tear stains easier to clean off, and is great for general eye health upkeep! And, not that I would replace proper veterinary care with it, but boric acid even treats mild-to-moderate conjunctivitis (aka "pink eye," "red eye")! Which is excellent because I recently adopted an adorable little lady with such a case terrorizing her poor eyes. Sadly, the vets that I saw could only give me an ointment, and my little girl just does not like having anywhere near her eyes touched. As a muscular dachshund with no tail, she is about as easy to wrangle as a greased pig if she doesn't feel like being caught. Combined with the absolute devastation to her trust in people that a successful application of the ointment brought, I simply could not manage to apply it 3 times a day. Her case is mild enough that the vet said it would be okay to save the treatment for a few weeks later when our relationship was stronger, but I still felt bad watching her scratch at her eyes and have white boogies stuck in the corners. So I started using this, and not only is there instant relief, but there has also been improvement of the redness and discharge altogether. This progress may not be as noticeable as it would if I could use her prescribed medication, but it's better for both of us than doing nothing. AND, very conveniently, since she is still unhappy about having her eye-area touched, the bottle can be squeezed to send a stream into the eye at weird angles when the dog will not cooperate with gravitational requirements of eye drops. When this solution touches the eyes, it is so soothing that she realizes it's not scary and is slowly getting used to having her eyes taken care of. I have another dog with chronically irritated and inflamed eyes because of his love of barking/staring into the wind and sun. Not to mention his little brother's love of licking his eyes and jumping on them with dirty paws when play-fighting... The medicine from the vet was super thick, made horrible tear stains that were hard to get rid of, and the dog hated it. Oh, also it did nothing for him! But a daily drop of this lovely stuff is an inexpensive, reliable solution to his problem. It keeps his eyes healthy and clean with regular use. He actually loves the drops so much that when you say "do your eyes" he will come wait right in front of you for you to put the drops in. This will ALWAYS be in my house as long as I have dogs!

Nutri-Vet is an excellent product for cleaning the eyes for dogs principally those who are more likely to accumulate foreign material at a greater rate and this make them to have more discharge in their eyes and also helps dogs who are prone to have dry eye. It's easy to use, and it's gentle and safe for the eyes. You can use it also for cleaning the eye for dogs who are prone to have stains in the eye area. I started using this product after my puppy (a male cream/gold shih tzu) developed a bad bacterial and fungal infection in one of his eyes. Before this product I was cleaning 3 times per day his eyes with water and removed the debris with a flea comb; despite that he got the infection. He started using the medications prescribed by the veterinary and after doing some research I decided to buy Nutri-Vet Rinse Liquid for cleaning and moisture his eyes. I started using 3 times per day, with the time I reduced the times per day, and now I'm just using it 1 time per day. He is prone to have dry eye, to produce more discharge than normal and to have stains in his eyes. Before Nutri Vet I gave him regularly Angels Eyes in his food, this help to reduce like 50% the stains in his eyes, but it doesn't help with the other problems. Nutri Vet first help me to do the cleaning process more easy, second it helps to control the dryness in the eyes and third helps to reduce the amount of discharge that he had. Today I'm just using one time per day because the eyes of my puppy are pretty good, the dryness and discharge is very little now compared with some months ago. Despite using Angels Eyes and Nutri Vet some stains remained, for that reason I started using Eye Envy and finally the stains are controlled now. The daily routine for my puppy today is, one time per day Angels Eyes incorporated into his food; one time per day Nutri Vet, I put some drops in each of his eyes; after that I put some liquid of Eye Envy in a pad and I clean the area around the eyes, finally I put Eye Envy powder with a q-tip around the eye area (also it can be used some corn starch).

My dog has really dry eyes. His eyes produce a lot of mucous, but few tears. The eye specialist prescribed Optimune for him (a $50-$60 little ointment tube). This eye rinse does a really good job clearing the mucous and gunk that attaches itself to his eyes. It helps me get my money's worth with the Optimune. I tried Burt's Bees, but it only worked so so. The only other eye drops my dog seems to like is Genteal drops, but those are expensive. With this $5 rinse, I can rinse the mucous out and not worry about the cost of every drop. I subtracted one star because the eye drops do not come with a cap on top. I have to sanitize the top from time to time. Another product my dogs eyes respond well to is Puralube Vet Ointment.

Came as shown without any damages on it because of how well the seller packaged it. It's a good eye rinse for dogs that have tear stains, allergies, or even a little debris of some kind. Gets the job done to remove it. It's quite small however and if you have a hyperactive, disobedient dog that'll move a lot when applying these type of drops then you're going to have a hard time getting the most out of it and will end up wasting more than what you apply on your pooch. It's easy to use on calm and obedient dogs that don't move a lot when applying this. In the end, it does what it's intended for, I just wish it wasn't so small and wouldn't run out so quickly, for me and my hyperactive, disobedient dog that is. I'd also like to mention it has no foul smell either.

Cleared up a goooy eye in a couple days. Good quality product ..

This is the BEST STUFF EVER it has TOTALLY removed the tear stains from my Mini White Schnauzer's face! She doesn't fight these drops from going in like she has other eye drops. Once she finally realized that these are the only drops that I put in her eyes she just lays her head against my chest and lets me put them in her eyes. They soften the "eye boogies" that form but there are no more stains. I use them about once a week on Jodi twice if she gets a lot of dust or dirt in her eyes just to get the crusty stuff out. The salt and pepper Schnauzer pup now about 16 months old gets crusty "eye boogies" and she lets me put this rinse liquid in her eyes to soften them up so that I can remove them without pulling too much. She doesn't fight this eye rinse either. I had used 3 or 4 different things on Jodi (white Schnauzer) trying to get rid of the stains and one day was reading what people wrote about this so I decided to try a bottle of it. Am I ever glad that I did. End of unsightly problem with white dog tear stains!! Priced very reasonably too folks. I even took it to Oklahoma with us last year where the dirt was red and her beard got "pink" from sniffing red dirt of course after shampooing her she was still quite pink which I decided I would live with as long as we were in red dirt country but the pink beard bothered me so I soaked it with the eye rinse after I had shampooed her and at least 50% of the pink came out that the shampoo had left behind! I am a fan of this stuff as are my girls. Schnauzer's have very hairy faces and their eyes tend to tear especially if we don't keep the hair clipped back from their eyes. I am so glad that I have discovered Nutri-Vet Eye Rinse. We have tried Angel eyes, Pet post tear stain wipes, Natural Rapport Tear stain wipes, and none of them have worked like the Nutri-Vet Eye Rinse has plus they have fought the other products. Sorry this is so long but I really can't say enough good things about this stuff!

Haven’t seen anything to report, so far works as well as plain water. Kept finding leakage but came to find out the bottle was cracked, I originally thought it was leaking from bottle top. Too late to get a refund. Rinse came in handy when I was trying to flush something out of my doggy’s eye.

This solution is amazing. It cleans my dogs eyes and got rid of all the red on his fur from his eyes.

Tengo un perrito de 1 año y desde que mi amiga me lo dio en adopción, le noté unas manchas horribles debajo de sus ojos. Me di a la tarea de investigar alguna solución y probé de todo: toallitas húmedas especiales para la zona de los ojos, NaturVet Tears Stains, Angels Eyes, Envy Eye; entre otros productos. Cansado de no encontrar una solución, una amiga me platicó sobre NutiVet Eye Rinse y me recomendó este producto MARAVILLOSO. Le comenté a mi amiga que mi perrito presentaba una ligera alergia en los ojos y lo hacía lagrimear constantemente. Me pidió que siguiera a las indicaciones de uso del producto y que en dos semanas vería resultados. Acudí a mi casa y dudé bastante de la eficacia del producto, pero decidí probarlo y desde la primera semana pude notar como el lagrimeo excesivo de mi perrito había bajado y las manchas en sus ojos habían disminuido considerablemente en solo una semana. Para la segunda semana prácticamente las manchas en los ojos eran muy pequeñas y para la tercera semana las manchas bajaron y eran casi nulas. Lo recomiendo ampliamente, ser constante con las aplicaciones y limpiar la zona previamente. Olvídate de comprar polvos, suplementos, lociones o premios que prometen mejorar el problema de las manchas en los ojos y no hacen absolutamente nada. Este producto es la solución definitiva, te lo dice alguien que probó y gastó dinero en muchos productos que no hicieron absolutamente nada por la salud de mi perrito.
