Highly recommend!! We wanted a non WiFi monitor with great battery life and good quality and this is for sure it! We were gifted an Ow**** monitor and I truly prefer this one more. It’s sturdy and the battery life is amazing. Worth every penny!

I got the less expensive monitor since my child is now a little older and I love it. The features on the WiFi connected one is nice but for this price I have no issues with the less expensive one. It does just as well. The camera is a little more grainy but I expected that when I got the less expensive option.

Great for the money paid, has plenty of sounds and songs for white noise. The temperature display is a little finicky if it's plugged into a surge protector, it doesn't show up, it has to be plugged directly into the wall. The camera quality is good, nothing amazing but I never have a problem seeing anything. Very easy to use and overall self explanatory, a little fidgeting with the buttons and you can figure it out without reading a manual.

Love this camera and its great to be able to adjust the view and scan the room. A couple of things to be aware of though. 1. The camera make sound when you move it, so if your baby is a light sleeper it might wake them up. 2. The monitor does not stand on its own. It does not have a sufficient base for its size so it is constantly falling over. I'd recommend getting the same camera with the smaller monitor. That way it can fit in your pocket and stand up on its own.

I bought the 5 inch LCD screen, but I should have paid the extra twenty dollars for the HD screen. As you can see, the smaller screen is one that I have had for about two years now, but it is limited in what it can do as far as seeing a large area. The clarity, color and resolution is much better on the one I had versus the 5 inch LCD screen that I just bought. The first camera I bought stays fixed in one place and you can move it around manually, but that is inconvenient. This new one has the ability to pan and tilt from the parent monitor. That is so convenient when you need to see what is going on in more than one fixed spot. The zoom feature is basically useless. It can zoom a little but not much. I use this camera in my barn to keep an eye on my goats. Any cameras that run off of wifi do not work, as the barn is a little two far from my house. (Roughly 100 feet) This is perfect for that. I rarely have connectivity issues. The only time I lose connection is when the power goes off. The parent monitor can run on its battery, but the camera has to be plugged in at all times. The temperature sensor is a nice feature to have to monitor the temperature in the barn, and is very accurate. Also, if my husband or I am in the barn feeding or doing chores we can speak through the monitor. I do not use the music feature, but it works nicely. Overall, these cameras have given me peace of mind, so they get a five star rating. I would definitely pay the extra for the HD screen if I had it to do over again.

This is perfect! Plugged it in and it’s working. That’s it. No apps, no settings, no linking thru WiFi. Everything should work like this.

Terrible product, terrible brand, terrible customer support. We had extensive connectivity issues with the wifi versions of VTech monitors, so we thought going with the "dumb" version that does not use wifi would eliminate the issue. I kid you not: straight out of the box this thing doesn't work. We've tried resetting it and re-pairing it but no luck. We called and finally talked to the customer support lady, and she had us read the serial number back to her like 3 times and then she just goes "sorry, can't help you, please contact the place you bought it from". This thing is a piece of junk, and not the first VTech monitor we've had connectivity issues with. No support, no help. SAVE YOUR MONEY, DONT BUY VTECH. -Sam from Texas

Despite the fact that I have some nitpicking with this camera, I'm still giving it 5 stars!! The no wifi peace of mind can't be beaten and the battery life is incredible!! My only 2 dislikes are how bright the screen is even on the lowest setting and how overpowering the music is when playing from the handheld. It's a great volume coming from the camera itself, but the music playing from the handheld is too much.
