Does this stretch a lot?

This rope is designed for a lifebuoy near a pool and is intended to be used to save lives. I bought it recently and it has not been used. My own concern was that it would hold up against the hot summer/winter sun in Phoenix so I wouldn't have to buy another one in a year or so. So, briefly, I have no idea whether it will hold up, and I don't know if it stretches, because all it does is hang from the buoy and wait until there's a need to use it.

What is the lifespan of the rope? If left outside how often will it need to be replaced?

We have had ours outside for over a year now and it’s still in perfect condition.

Does chlorine discolor or disintegrate this rope?

We don’t have ours constantly in the water so I really can’t answer this question however that said..we have used this type of rope before and yes it did over time disintegrate while in chlorine over time.
