Absolutely needed!
Mirror works perfectly! I replaced an auto dimming/heated mirror with it. The auto dimming failed and made the mirror dark brown. Those replacements are multiple times the price of these non dimming ones. The loss of that is worth the savings. These arrived undamaged, survived the install (the clips are stiff), fit great and I can finally see crystal clear again!
