Zathura [Special Edition]

The story line was a surprise. The young boys were great actors.

This is a family favorite with a storyline that means this could be thought of as Jumanji meets outer space!

My 9 year old granddaughter loved it. I’ve bought 2 more for friends. Everyone enjoyed it.

Grandson loves it.

The movie was better than I thought.

Kids and adults loved it

This is the type of movie my grandbaby and I love. Like Jumanji! She sat still and watched the entire movie!! That's why I ordered Zathura.

Zathura have been produced after Jumanji and before his sequel, Welcome to the Jungle. But Zathura did not provide as much entertaining that the two other ones. Maby it was because I was expecting the same approach than Jumanji, but to my taste, the movie was too much focussing on the interaction between the two brothers and their sister, their behavior towards each other. Although the subject is welcome in the story, it could have benefit from a lighter approach. This is the reason why I did not give a five stars, but a four.Nevertheless, the movie have very good special effects, it's colorful, it's action pack, it's well perform and well directed.

Der Film ist superspannend, lustig und lebt u.a. durch die super Schauspieler und die klasse Story. Besonders gefallen hat mir der feine Tiefgang des Films, gibts heutzutage nicht so oft... Gerade wenn Deine Kinder zu gelegentlichen Wutanfällen/ausufernden Streitereien neigen, ist dies der Film, der ohne "Moralapostelfinger" einen pädagogischen Wink in die richtige Richtung gibt. Als Actionfilm funktioniert er auch heute noch sehr gut, selbst für Erwachsene, das Spiel ist herrlich retro und das Special auf der BD (Spiel zum selber spielen) ist klasse! Jon Favreau ist ein Meister.

Super Film aus der Kindheit.Die Bluray mit zusatzinhalten ist für 6€ angemessen.Leider nur 5.1 im deutschen Format und nur in englisch 7.1 Format.Ein nach meiner Meinung spannender kleiner Familien Film.Auch wenn der Film von 2005 ist, ist er trotzdem echt gut gemacht.
