Carbon Fiber ABS Sheet for Boat Instrument Panels 24" x48x 1/8" or 3/16"

A great alternative to real carbon fiber. Product looks nice and holds up well. Was very hesitant about buying it, but after using it, I would buy it again without a second thought.

I made a new dash and glovebox door for my 1990 Sea Ray. Once I figured out how to cut the product without melting it things went smoothly. I traced the old pieces and used a table saw with a carbide fine tooth blade. On the exposed glovebox edge I shaped with a belt sander using 500 grit and polished out with compound. I will update my review in the future on durability… Update November 2023- the product worked great all boating season and no fading or cracking. I decided to replace the plastic piece that held my key switch and also installed a compass with little effort. I still have a lot left over for future projects.

I used it to replace panels on my boat dash. It’s an easy product to work with. I used an oscillating tool and a jig saw to cut. It ships with a protective film on the finish side which is nice but I masked everything off with painters tape before working on it. You can easily file it to give it shape. Like with anything, there’s a learning curve and I would bet that my 2nd attempt would be near perfect.
