I hate that I have to purchase this product, so it's nice to be posting a positive aligned with "cold-sores" lol. Anyway, this stuff is great! It literally numbs the space where you apply it so be careful and wash your hands after (if that isn't obvious) application. It doesn't dry the area out and I found that it helped healing great! I am not giving a 5 star because i didn't find it speeding up the healing in a magical way, none of the treatments do you have to go through the process.

Not a ton of unpaid reviews on here but I feel like this product is definitely a notch above most of what's available to treat cold sores. I have frequent outbreaks due to stress and have tried every product out there including Dr. prescribed options. Prescription antivirals help a lot, Abreva does nothing in my opinion, and my go to for some time has been the oragel single dose vials, which can actually stop an outbreak if you catch it early enough. Anyway, this time I was travelling and that didn't happen in time, so I developed a huge sore in the corner of my mouth, right where it cracks when you eat, talk or smile. Awesome. I got this product on day two after work, and am pretty happy with how its working so far. Within a few hours it got rid of the redness, pain, scabbing and cracking, and is preventing any further cracking or scabbing from happening. The sore looks like it's on its final day, and it's only morning of day 3. At this rate, it looks like I might be fully healed by tomorrow, but in the meanwhile what was a huge painful scab yesterday is now hardly noticeable at all after 12 hrs of usage (looks like a patch of dry skin) and I can actually smile and open my mouth with no problems.

Glad I found this. I kept accidentally biting the inside of my mouth and the without noticing I would be clenching down on it with my teeth. But I put this on and instantly the swelling goes down and a coating goes over the whole thing to protect it while it heals.

Works great for cold sores

My husband and daughter itch furiously after the pain from a bee sting subsides. This stuff numbs it enough that the itch goes away.
